this is coming from a real Vikings fan….with half a brain…

If you, as a Viking fan, think that Joe Webb is a better quarterback than Christian Ponder; you know absolutely NOTHING about football. Sure, Webb can run, but he cannot throw the football. If he was a capable quarterback, do you really think that the GM, head coach, coordinators, etc would continue to put Ponder on the field if Webb really was a better quarterback.

Reminds me of the idiots (these same fans’ parents) who though Steve Dils was a better quarterback than Tommy Kramer.

Minnesota – where parking garages are called parking ramps; and preseason games mean something.

Looking more and more likely that Webb will get the start. According to Seifert, Ponder warmed up by throwing a few short passes, had a lengthily talk with the Vikings coaches, trainers, and brass and went off the field. Webb and the law firm still warming up on the field.

It’s cute that Viking fans think this is a rivalry. It isn’t. The Bears are the Packers’ rival. Minnesota is just the minor annoyance next door.

webb should start over ponder..what a wasted 1st round pick. they had a good young qb in webb and wasted a high draft pick on ponder. webb showed that if he was molded and trained right he could be a good starting franchise qb..same goes for tj yates. id give both of them a shot. better then cassel, quinn, weeden, freeman, newton, palmer, sanchez, and the list continues

Ponder on the road in Lambeau has a small chance of pulling an upset. Webb playing against a team that hasn’t prepared for him has a better chance. This could be the second straight year the Pack can’t win a playoff game.

Who are the idiots that keep saying suck it up about Ponder? How do you “suck up” fluid on your throwing elbow? It isn’t about pain. It’s about movement and being able to throw the ball. Webb know this offense. He will make plays. And the Vikings will give AP the rock 40 times.

Ponder had to decide between resting up for the playoffs or sechs-ing up the new wife.

No word yet on whether the energy to even get out of bed will be restored by training camp.

Packer’s game plan was to up the pressure on Ponder because Ponder makes errors when defenses rush him, like in the first MN-GB game. With Webb that game plan could backfire because Webb will take off and run under pressure. It will make for a interesting game. Even though I am a Viking’s fan, still have to say advantage Pack because of Rodgers.

I was happy when they drafted Christian Ponder, because it kept Joe Webb off the field. As a Packers fan, I’d rather see Ponder than Webb. The Packers don’t handle mobile QB’s with deep arm’s all that well.
