Eagles fly back to Philly after interviewing Mike McCoy

McCoy

The Eagles are returning to Philadelphia without a new coach. And on the night before their former coach, Andy Reid, will be introduced as the new coach of the Chiefs, the Eagles seem no closer to making a hire than when they fired Reid.

According to CSNPhilly.com, the Eagles’ traveling brain trust of owner Jeffrey Lurie, president Don Smolenski, and G.M. Howie Roseman have left Denver after interviewing Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy.

The Eagles also have interviewed Oregon coach Chip Kelly, Falcons defensive coordinator, Mike Nolan, Falcons special-teams coordinator Keith Armstrong, Penn State coach Bill O’Brien, and McCoy. The Eagles plan to interview Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians and Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley.

Coaches working for teams still alive in the playoffs can’t be hired until their teams’ seasons have ended.
