First of all I'm so glad to see the skins at home where they belong!!!! They should thank the giants for giving them a chance at competing! It took the skins to play their very best, and for the giants to not particularly care! And that's what happened! When the giants wanted it they got the win and when they didn't they didn't win! It's really that easy! With that said ,I have no problem with him keeping rg3 in that game! He gave the skins the Only chance at winning that game! Sorry cousins may beat the browns or pull off 1 play against the ravens but he isn't beating that Seahawks defense! What I didn't understand was why they were running him in the read option? They should of continued to use Morris and play action to fool Seattle into thinking maybe he couldn't run! That he was too hurt, then gashbthem when they least expect it! But oh well see ya skins you blew your golden given opportunity ! Because the gmen who are already loaded with far superior talent won't be complacent next year!

Seahawks best defense in football, will have a good run next Matt Ryan.

Redskins offense was kicking your a$$ the entire first half until they lost their starting left guard and their QB was running on one leg. And one look at Pistol Pete Carroll shows he knew it. Shanny goes to Cousins at the half and your “best defense in football” would have had a five hour plane ride home wondering what the he11 hit them.

The Redskins had two fluky drives, and did nothing else afterward.

Mike Shanahan needs to be fired for leaving RG3 in the game and at further risk to injury. It was clear from the 2nd quarter on that RG3 was hurt and couldn’t do much of anything. A stupid and stubborn decision by Shanny and it could end up costing RG3 his career. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. Players should never dictate when they come in or out of a game. That’s why coaches get paid the big bucks. To make decisions. Shanny’s loyalty to RG3 will end up costing him and the team.

----------------------

After the first quarter you did nothing. Second half you put up 76 yards. We put up 371. Can the excuses, I don't want to hear your left guard went down. They even mentioned that while a big loss, the guy subbing for him did a great job.

Cousins didn't come in until the 4th quarter when RG3 couldn't go anymore. You wanna blame anyone or make excuses, blame your coach for not taking the decision away from a young man that has a lot of pride and wanted to finish the game regardless of the outcome.

But don't make excuses for your team losing and acting like it would've been different. Once Marshawn picked up that fumble from Russell it was like the first body punch in a fight, and we just kept'em coming. We started out flat, but it isn't how you start, it's how you finish.

I wish all the best for RG3 and his recovery. Never want to see anyone go down like that regardless of the team.

RG III is was worth all those no. 1`s and what ever else washington gave up for the Griff so impressed with the young man on and of the field. But he will not last very long probably 5 yrs max if he continues running around like he does. Defenders will do everything to get big licks on him their lively hoods depend on it. He is so special he can do it all with his arm he has to change his style a little to survive. Fair play to the redskins for giving up all those picks but you dont want to be looking to the bench come crunch time every New year.

Even the Vikings knew enough not to risk their mediocre starting QB's health, playoffs or not. Webb was not even playing at Whitehurst-like proficiency. Why Shanahan would put a potential future HoF'er at risk when it's clear he's too injured to even finish ONE game, let alone make it through four playoffs is pure selfishness and lunacy. You play the hand you're dealt, and RG3's knee injury dictated he should have prepped and started Cousins for the playoffs and hoped for the best. Major fail as a head coach, and as a human being, imo.

Ok, huge lifelong Redskins fan here... I am so proud of my team for not giving up when they were 3-6. They won 7 straight games and knocked the Cowboys out of the playoffs in the process. As far as I am concerned the Skins out played my expectations of them this year. They won the NFC East for the first time since 1999 with a rookie qb, a rookie rb and a make-shift pass-rush and secondary. So, for that I am proud. As per the future I am excited about next year bigtime. We get back Orakpo, Carriker, Meriweather, Helu, Tanard Jackson and others who were hurt this year. Plus we will get a healthy RG3. Let's be honest... The Skins would of won this game if Griffin was 100%. Seattle is lucky they caught him when he was gimpy. I'm no sore loser so I give credit to a very good Seattle team and esp Wilson, he has alot of talent no doubt and Lynch is good too. The Skins will be back next year stronger than ever... Skins fan shouldn't be salty, they should be proud. Hail To The Redskins!

The biggest fallacy in this whole thing is that RG3 would be the best person to consult about the condition of his knee. You don't ask the guy who ran track and played football his entire college career how his MCL, LCL, and ACL are doing, you ask a guy that studied the anatomy of the knee for 10 years before he was even trusted to give informed advice. Shanahan hiding behind the fact that RG3 told him he was o.k. is the most cowardly act of ducking responsibility that I've ever seen from the supposed head of an organization.

Part of the reason professional sports teams are structured the way they are is to give special powers to the people that are the most skilled in a particular department. GMs are the best at picking players, Coaches at X's and O's, Wide recievers are the best at catching the ball, and DOCTORS ARE THE BEST AT GIVING MEDICAL ADVICE. The damage has already been done. Shanahan, Snyder, they are all implicated in this obvious lack of appropriate levels of consideration for the health of their players.

Remember, this is the guy who allowed Terrell Davis to go back into the super-bowl after he told him he couldn't see.

Robert and the Shanahan won my respect forever for overcoming all the obstacles the National Fixed League threw at them and accomplishing big things. Unfortunately, when things are scripted, you are out of control.

Yes, because the NFL wanted the team from the Pacific Northwest to win, as opposed to the team from the nation's capital with the most exciting and talented QB we've seen in a long time.

I have nothing but respect for RG3 for being a tough SOB and trying to play through the obvious serious injury. HOWEVER, Shanahan should face some form of discipline. Even though he is great, RG3 is still a rookie and the adrenaline was flowing. The coach should be the level-headed one and take a young player with a serious injury out of the game. This game could have a major impact on RG3's career and the injury and pain also made him ineffective on the field.
Shame on Shanahan. He definitely cost the team the game by not putting in Kirk Cousins and may have cost RG3 some of his explosiveness.
/Steelers fan
//RG3 is a athletic, slim rookie, not a 240 pound beast qb.

Seahawks best defense in football, will have a good run next Matt Ryan.
--------------------------
Redskins offense was kicking your a$$ the entire first half until they lost their starting left guard and their QB was running on one leg. And one look at Pistol Pete Carroll shows he knew it. Shanny goes to Cousins at the half and your "best defense in football" would have had a five hour plane ride home wondering what the he11 hit them.

Skins wouldve won this game had RG3 been healthy the whole game.. shoot.. they probably wouldve won if they had taken him out after that 2nd TD when he walked off the field limping.. All the had to do is score another TD and the hawks wouldve folded..

Shanahan threw this game away.. period.

Of course RG3 said that! He's a competitor! It's the head coach's job to do what is best for the team. Putting Cousins in when the score was 14-3 was the decision that should have been made. Bad coaching. The Seahawks may have still won, but that isn't the point.
