As has been stated earlier, in the first Texans v Pats game all the breaks went NE's way. It happens that way sometimes. Some of it was self inflicted by the Texans, some of it was inflicted by Tom Brady and the Pats.

On the 1st 3 TD drives by the Pats, the Texans commited penalties on unconverted 3rd downs that allowed the drives to continue.

Kareem Jackson doesn't fall on a fumble in the redzone and Hernandez scores the next play.

JJ Watt makes an outstanding play to run down Woodhead and force a fumble.... right into the waiting arms of Brandon Lloyd for a TD.

Someone said it earlier and its SO true. You're never as good or as bad as you think you are. But when you start to believe you are... that when you get in trouble.

You guys will have Gronk back but we'll have to vital yet unheralded guys back, Garrett Graham, and Brooks Reed.

I don't do predictions, but I imagine this time it's a closer game that comes down to the last few minutes. Maybe the same result... maybe not.

"The Patriots lost their last two Super Bowls, by a total of seven points. Take away the super glue on the helmet, (just kidding, but a freak catch) in one game, and a dropped pass in the last one, but for bigblue above and other Giant fans, yes they won, but neither game was a blow out. so maybe they ought to use some common sense and stop bashing Brady. Eli will never have close to the career Bradey has had."

________

Yeah would of, could of, should of. Giants would like to have a few plays back in both of those games and both games would be blow-outs. Point is Brady and that overrated offense put up a "big" 31 points in last 2 Super Bowls and were totaly inept and shut down. Yet all we here is how great Brady is and fact is he is not in the post-season

What is strange about this is that the content of the Shaughnessy article was subscription based, at least on the web. Has Arian Foster paid his .99 cents to subscribe to the Boston Globe online? Did he actually do that? It's not the money.......it's the fact that he is THAT interested in reading what people like Shaughnessy write. Shaughnessy is part of a crew of morons that have been employed by the Globe for years, which I never understood. Every city has these guys. My guess at this point is that Shaughnessy may be right, because Foster clearly has his priorities all wrong.....

If Patriots lose It won't be because of Schaub and the Texan offense. It will be because Brady and the over-hyped Pat offense will be shut down just like it has been the past 5 years. Funny how the Pat D gets ripped every year but somebody tell me what has Brady done in the past 5 years in a big playoff game or Super Bowl........answer: nothing

Since when is a reporter's article "bulletin board material?" In fact, what is Foster doing scanning the Boston sports pages to begin with? Neither Coach Belichick or any of his players EVER trash talk publicly about another team or its players. In fact, he could make the team with the worst record in the NFL seem like they were a Super Bowl contender if they were the Patriots next appointment. Shank gets on the nerves of LOCAL fans and players, but now he's doing it to their opponents! Ron Borges and John Tomase must be envious.

This game is on Gary Kubiak and Matt Schaub. If they are really franchise quality at their positions then they will find a way to win this game. They already are being paid like it without merit.
You cannot have an All Pro running back, All Pro defense and a franchise quarterback on the same team in the salary cap era of NFL football. You cannot be a defensive, run first well balanced team then pay your quarterback 14 million to dink and donk along with completing and occassional deep pass off playaction. Last T.J. Yates went 1-1 last season and most fans thought Schaub was the difference in not reaching the Super Bowl. This season is Schaub's oppurtunity to prove his worth to the team. If he loses to the Patriots and the Texans are 1-1 then this should be Matt Schaub's last game as a Texan.
Houston should put better use to that 14 million dollars and I do not mean resign Shaun Cody. 9.5 million can get you Greg Jenning or Mike Wallace or Dwayne Bowe. I like the Texans chance better with one of those wide receivers opposite Andre Johnson plus Owen Daniels with Arian Foster and T.J. Yates with Norv Turner calling the plays instead of another year of a conservative Gary Kubiak, Matt Schaub, Andre Johnson and Kevin Walter plus Arian Foster along with Owen Daniels.
This Sunday will be deliver or depart for Matt Schaub.

The Patriots are on a mission and the Texans have the unenviable task of having to revisit the scene of their worst nightmare because of their failure to hold serve in the last week. It will be a competitive game, but the Pats usually take care of business in these situation. The only team that could prevent NE from winning another Lombardi is Denver; these are the two best teams in the entire league. I do, however, think the Ravens have a good chance of pulling an upset this Saturday.

How’d that work out for ya? This is an excellent example of why most of the world hates Boston sports fans. So, so arrogant.

Please , if a poll was taken NY sports fans win win the award of most arrogant all day.

And stop with how did that work out with the jets crap.

Or we can say how did it work out last year with the Broncos.
Not to mention this is nowhere near the same Patriots team as 2010.

Shaughnessy may not represent everyone in Boston, but his comments are in line with most posters from Boston on this site (and similar sites for that matter). class, class, class.

pats destroyed the texans the first time, but I would note that the texans have a better record then the pats (13-4), have beaten more playoff teams (4), and just beat a team that everyone thought they would lose to. in the last pats game, everything that could go wrong for the texans, did go wrong. i doubt it will be the same this time. we’ll see on Sunday . . . .

---

Really, they have more wins. They have also played one more game.
And stop with the "everything that could go wrong did"

It went wrong because of NE. And now they have to deal with Gronk, just one more thing to worry about when they couldn't stop Hernandez.

As painful as that Jet loss was back in the 2010 playoffs, Pats fans do get some comfort knowing that that loss in the divisional round, is likely to be the highlight for Jets fans this CENTURY. (and the 2nd biggest win in Jet history)
