-Alabama up 42-14.
-Two Alabama players getting into a near fistfight.
-Saban screaming at a ref.
-Brett Musburger desperately – truly desperately – trying to make it all sound interesting.

Turned it off. Will that minute count in the ratings?

Really?! If I wanted to see a non-story made into a story I would go and watch ESPN, I expect better than this from this website.

There is no story here, he can learn just as much, if not MORE, from the game by watching it later. Besides is it really the place of the Head Coach to scout players? Don’t they have a scouting department for that?

Maybe he’s planning to watch the game later and review it more indepth without the distraction of a live game going on that he is anxious to see who wins?

Also any players he needs to evaluate he should naturally look at the film of every play they were in and study that, and this game footage would already be part of that review process. To watch it now would be redundant. How many times does one need to watch the same game and review the same plays?
