It appeared that Falcons coach Mike Smith’s decision to play his starters in the regular season finale was a disaster, when cornerback Dunta Robinson and defensive end John Abraham were injured in a meaningless game.

But they appear to have dodged a bullet, as Robinson was cleared last week after his concussion, and Smith announced that Abraham will practice Wednesday, according to Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.com.

Abraham’s had a week to rest the ankle he injured against the Buccaneers, and if he’s ready to work early this week, it’s a good sign for his availability for Sunday’s game with the Seahawks.
