I’m willing to bet he vouched for Sanchez and his ability to get him to work. He shouldn’t have done that if he made that choice since Sanchez is not a good QB by any stretch of the imagination.

A good QB coach would have figured that out and not stapled his success to a losing player like that. He lost credibility and invested his chips in a ridiculously poor choice. Maybe he was hoping to get lucky and see how long he could keep the job for.
