Should have kept Lovie and fired Tice along with cutting the entire offensive line. The team already respected and responded to the head coach, on both sides of the ball. Just needed a good offensive coordinator and a tight end that can catch.

i think anyone would be outright foolish to say that Aaron Rodgers is having a harder time in GB than Cutler is in Chicago. Maybe Aaron got sacked more, but I bet if they switched outright, the ‘elite’ title would switch as well. GB had Driver unactive for that last game, he’d be Chicago’s number 2!

Or, let me put it another way…Give me Cutler, Marshall, Jeffery, and Forte, plus GB’s current o-line and Finley, with Clements calling the plays…You get Rodgers and the rest of the play-makers he has, plus Davis and the Bears o-line, with Tice calling the plays for GB…Neither QB is allowed to audible…Which offense would perform better from week-to-week? (Keeping in mind also, we have Gould over Crosby for FGs.)

Emery is in his 1st season with a 10/6 record and NO playoffs. Now he needs a coach so yea hes going to take his time to find the BEST coach he can. the NFL stands for Not For Long. if he dont WIN he will be looking for a job NEXT. Greg Roman.. Pete Carmichael Jr. ..Mike McCoy

There’s a league MVP and Superbowl MVP playing this weekend with a line that’s given up more sacks than Jay’s. That guy has no 1000 yard rusher (5 different RBs), not a single 1000 yard receiver and a mediocre at best defense – yet he’s still playing. Some consider him “elite” – he could play behind that line.

Is Chicago’s line good/great? Nope but lets not ignore the culpability of Jay Cutler here. His ceiling isn’t as high as some would like to believe and some of the line issues are due to Cutler’s play as well.

Its one thing to interview a handful of people who might be qualified to be your team’s head coach (if you are the GM). Its completely another to even consider a guy from the CFL (which was hilarious to me). Striking a healthy balance is always a good thing.

I had no idea who Marc Trestman was before this coaching search, at first i laughed at the Bear looking at some CFL guy. After some research this guy looks like he could be a good coach, now in my top 3 Mccoy, Arians, Trestman.

All these silly rules about needing permission to talk to competitiors employees seems like an antitrust violation to reduce the ability of coaches to move from team to team without prior appraval. If Ford, GM, and Toyota tried the same thing the feds would be all over them in a minute.

Bears fan should be scared as what has Emery been doing all year to begin with. Although I was no great Lovie fan to fire him and then have it appear that you don’t have a clue who you want just adds to the typical “Bears aren’t sure about anything beyond Jan 14, 2013″ syndrome. Why is Emery the Bears GM to begin with? God save us from on the job training days.

I liken this to how fast the Red Sox hired Bobby Valentine after Tito left. I thought, “what is the rush”? Sure enough, they hired the wrong guy.
It makes all the sense in the world to interview many candidates, and then, only when you are sure, hire one.

Gosh where do I sign up to get on that list? I’d love just one hour to explain what I’d do with the offense and ask them if any of those other guys have a better plan than me. If any of these other guys had it figured out, they probably would have been hired by now. The best man is still out there and Chicago is doing the right thing to keep looking until they stumble on the right guy who has a plan that makes sense.
