There are other, more valid, reasons that really talented college players’ stats don’t always look as eye popping as people might expect.

The most obvious is they play less games than their pro counterparts. Also, because college rosters are much larger, many teams have more players in the rotation than you would see on the next level.

Lastly, teams like LSU tend to play in a lot of blow outs, especially early in the season, further limiting starters playing time.

I would think it would be easier for him to pile up individual stats with another top notch defensive end across from him. Opponents can’t double team everybody.
