McGahee, Clady practice for the Broncos

Running back Willis McGahee returned to practice for the first time on Tuesday since the Broncos placed him on injured reserve with a designation to return in November.

McGahee said Monday that he’s not ready to play in a game yet as he recovers from an MCL injury, which is fine since he’s not eligible to play until the weekend of the AFC Championship Game. McGahee believes it’s possible he’ll be healthy enough to play in that game and a return to practice is a necessary first step toward making that happen.

“He’s worked very hard to get back,” coach John Fox said, via the Denver Post. “It was good to see him back and he had a good first day.”

The Broncos also got left tackle Ryan Clady back at practice on Tuesday. Clady had been sidelined last week, the Broncos haven’t had to release an injury report to disclose what’s bothering him, but he was on the field as they started preparing for this weekend’s date with the Ravens.
