This guy can design a run play like nobody’s business and will be a significant loss for San Francisco. I’m terribly surprised he wasn’t the hottest coaching candidate out there; however, I’m guessing he would have gotten more attention if his team weren’t still in the playoffs (where are GOOD coaching candidates still should be).

I hope Alex Smith gets to follow him too. I’ll instantly become a bit of a Jags fan.

He has held positions on both sides of the ball throughout his career. He also is adjustable to his players strengths IE: tailoring to Smith, then traveling to Nevada to learn the pistol to incorporate with Kaep. His calls can be frustrating at times but there are 3 people pitching in there. (Himself, Harbaugh, Chryst). His calls aren’t gonna blow a game for you either though. With that roster minus Gabbert he could make some good things happen

Not really, since there are no real facts in evidence that show that a) the Jaguars are looking for a coach at all, and b) if they do fire Mularkey, they will interview Roman.

This “Roman becomes a candidate” business is nothing but a reporter connecting the dots at this point based upon nothing but the fact that the two know each well.

So the dots are a little two far apart at this point.
