I’m sorry did he just say he believes in drafting a QB every year? And someone just made him their GM? Was he referring to fantasy football maybe?

the fact that the Cardinals are currently loaded with below average QB’s, now their top guy is looking to draft even more below average QB’s says a lot about the Cardinals decision making process? First the Bills hire some jobber college coach and now the CArds promote this guy? Why are so many NFL teams so committed to being below average?

Let me get this straight. The Cardinals hired a GM FIRST and NOW they are interviewing coaches and then will seek out appropriate players?

Didn’t they get the memo from the Jets? First you name your QB then you name your coach, and only then do you look for a GM

They should get Alex Smith then pick up someone like Geno Smith for the long term. The rest of their picks ought to be oline as their line is right up there in terms of talent with my Bears.

Only need to be retooled to make the playoffs and be modestly competitive. But they have to be rebuilt to be at the top level. And that’s something they should have thought about the last few years so as to not squander Fitz as their top player, and if they wait too long then they will have to replace him and other guys they eventually lose.

Will Patrick Peterson be squandered next when 5 years from now Keim gets fired and replaced with another guy that says he can make magic happen by a simple retooling?

I’m all for drafting your QB instead of reaching on desperate free agent deals, but the only franchise I can think of that seems to draft a QB every single year is the Browns… and they’ve been doing it thanks to never-ending changes in direction from the front office; not exactly something you’d want to emulate. The ideal is after a draft or two you’ll have a good starter and decent backup and then you can worry about other positions.

Jay Gruden would be a great hire. He has done alot with the weak armed Andy Dalton. Alex Smith or Matt Flyn might fit in with his style.
