I live in Rochester and this story has been on all the local news outlets. I’m a diehard Redskins fan but AP may just become my favorite player. Should change the nickname to AC….All Class!

As an AP fan and a Vikings season ticket owner I enjoy hearing these stories.

My brother-in-law is a 5 year survivor of Ewings Sarcoma so there is hope for Blake! Prayers go out to him!

Such a small little thing like a phone call from a person like AP might not mean much to people like you and I. But to such a young person fighting for his life, the words from AP will provide more inspiration than we could ever imagine!

As a Minnesota fan that keeps up with AP and the team, the comments above are right — the guy does this stuff all the time. A while back a buddies kids in Eden Prairie were running a lemonade stand as a fund raiser for Haiti relief, and AP was driving by, stopped and bought a snickers bar for $300 and took pics with all the kids. Just a real nice, classy man.

I have been a Vikings fan since I was 5. I have admired many players through the years. I have remained a fan through every season, good and bad. But this is such a great story. This is about a human being doing something wonderful, for a fellow human being. Above and beyond football. In a world where a Brian Urlacher says he doesn’t care about the fans of him or his team, it is fantastic to see someone who DOES care. Adrian, you ARE a Class Act. Good luck in the MVP race. You deserve it more than anyone.

Another example of class from AP. History would lead us to believe that an athelete of this calibre would be the most untouchable, egotistical, pompous dickhole that walks the earth. It’s so refreshing to see him proving that wrong. Not even a month ago, AP sent a signed football to another young man in MN who’s life was cut short by cancer. This was a moment of hapiness for a family that was going through absolute hell. Such a simple act, yet some athelete’s think they are above these things. I also agree with the comment earlier that these things happen all the time but go unreported. These things should get reported just as much to show the youth in this country that there is more to being famous than just money, cars, houses, and television. Way to go AP and way to go to all the other “heros” that continue with these types of acts even though they go unnoticed 99% of the time.

Peterson and the Vikings are putting me in a tough spot. They used to be such a pathetic group of jerks that it was just impossible to respect the organization.

But I have to say that this is a pretty likeable team with some very high character guys. Peterson has been absolutely great for that organization.

We should hear more of these stories. There are a lot of players who give of their time (Peyton included) that goes unmentioned…the media would rather talk about DUI and Arrests of players.
