Isnt this the same guy that bankrolled on restructured contracts this season only to end up 8-8 and now find themselves 20 million over the cap?

Sounds like a good fit for the Jets though.

I never even considered Mr. Khan to be GM material. Wow. This is completely from out in left field…
Omar Khan is a sensational numbers cruncher, perhaps the best in the business, but a general manager?

Those of us in Steeler Nation are cringing at the thought of losing Omar Khan — that cat has a real knack for the nuances of effective cap management, creativity and resourcefulness.

For example, losing Wallace will be far more palatable than losing Khan. That dude is key.

How do you know that they are having trouble filling the position? You ever think they’re doing something correct for once and doing due diligence to find the best man for the job. Did Manish tell you that? Sounds like something he would tweet. The past week you guys had coaches and GM’s going here and there and wound up some place not even mentioned. Truth is nobody knows whats going on and twitter speculation is like a brush fire. I’m not saying your wrong but at least post some facts that back up your claims instead of just your opinion.

Obviously the team is rudderless. I like Rex, but he shouldn’t have the power he’s managed to grab and his presence is stopping the Jets from luring a good GM into the fold.

Woody needs to clean house, hire the right person to run the team and step out of the picture himself. Go golfing Woody, and take Rex with you. Use the two remaining years on Ryan’s contract to make him the most expensive caddy ever.

No, no, no. We can handle losing coaches and players, but losing Khan would be a blow–especially now. We’ll need his creative cap management over the next few years. I realize GM is a step up from his current position, but the Jets are a team in disarray. Let’s hope Khan decides he’d rather continue enjoying the relatively smooth waters in Pittsburgh.
