He’s building himself a good brand anyway and will land endorsements, already has one from Levis I think. He, like other sports stars, will definitely be raking in more in endorsements than he will from the sport itself.

Russell Wilson is PED using pete carroll taught cheater, who is way too short to make it in this league, and couldn’t win a game if he tried. He’s friends with a bunch of cheaters, he really only has class on camera, and should have been an undrafted free agent, on practice squad in Jacksonville. This kid’s a natural loser, and he had his teamates take out RG3 because he was jealous.

If Paul Allen really wanted to pay him, Microsoft could ask him to do some Windows 8 ads. Maybe show him using the Surface tablet to study his playbook. Heck, if they did that, I’d probably go buy a Surface w/ Windows 8. Do you hear me, Paul? Get to it man!

Note that this conversation regarding money was introduced by the media to RW. He has said zero about money all season long. So don’t knock this kid. I do feel bad for this kid Wilson but you are right. Cant have it both ways. I would love to see some stiffs who never earn what they pay to give it back but that wont happen. hope he stays healthy until he can sign.

Compare what the Hawks did to what another team did…
Hawks got a stud QB in the third round…
Another team mortgaged their future for a QB, with 3 first round picks, and left nothing to build anything around him…
Third round QB is still standing, and playing in the next round of the playoffs…
First round QB is broken, and my never be the same again…
As Bill Parcells once said…’I think they hate us so much because they actually like us!’
Or something like that…

He’ll also have some shots at MVP, especially considering he’s a QB and on the smallest pay scale of all of the good ones. This guy was a smart football acquisition. When you can get your QB for a tiny dollar contract, then that allows you to get good efficiency across the rest of the team. To be the best, you have to find as many low cost gems as you can, and you have to snatch them up. The Seahawks did good on this one.

Personally, I don’t have any sympathy for him, not because he already makes 10x as much as the ‘average joe’ but becuase it was negotiated by their union so they just have to suck it up (blame all those draft busts). He just have to keep up the production and he’ll get paid soon enough. I love the kid but hate that he plays for Seattle.

Endorsements will come. Tebow got a lot based on his values – Wilson actually shares those same values, only, he isn’t as vocal about it – and unlike Tim, he is actually a talented NFL QB.

He gave up a professional baseball career to play football (which does speak volumes for the type of athlete he is). He actually went back to school from making money just to play football, so I am guessing he has a passion for the sport and is happy where he is at for now. I’m sure winning more playoff games is where is mind is at the moment. The funny thing here in the Seattle area is going to a sporting retail store and seeing Flynn jerseys hanging everywhere. What a bust that was huh?

That’s what I like about this new CBA, rookies getting drafted do not have outrageous salaries anymore and they have to prove they are worth an extension. In Wilson’s case, he has proved he can be an NFL QB. Just sucks he has to wait.

Yes, it is still really good money, but it is relative. Tell me about what you would think if you went into your job and the guy next to you, doing the exact same job made 5x of what you did, but you were much, much better at it?

JK, yes I’m a bitter Skins fan who knows RG3 will be back for another playoff push next year!

Wilson is an awesome player and is built solid. Total stats he moves the ball up and down the field now after the pistol was installed. Hags need better receivers though IMO
