Telesco closes in on Chargers’ G.M. job

Telesco

On Tuesday, two of the seven open G.M. jobs were filled.  On Wednesday, the Chargers could join the ranks of the teams no longer looking for General Managers.

Kevin Acee of U-T San Diego reports that Colts director of player personnel Tom Telesco is close to getting the job in San Diego.  Though Acee explains that there’s no “definitive word,” he notes via Twitter that he’s told “this is happening soon.”

Telesco and Chargers director of player personnel Jimmy Raye are regarded as the favorites for the job.  As Albert Breer of NFL Network pointed out earlier today, the Jets recently attempted to join the Telesco sweepstakes.

Good, as long as he is not a jerky guy like the Lord of No Rings was and actually can draft offensive lineman and DBs that are worth it.

Hopefully, this is the direction they go. Good for the Chargers for bringing in some fresh, young blood with new ideas.

Seems like they want a young GM to grow in the organization with John Spanos.

First good move they’ve made in years…..

Hopefully the next GM won’t do something stupid like trading several draft picks for Jacob Hester. Did AJ think Jacob was related to Devin or something?

I hope that means we can get Bruce Arians!! I don’t mind that he’s a little younger, if he’s any good, then we can keep him around for a while.

And hell, we can’t do worse than we’ve been doing, so if he’s a bust, we can move on again.

As a Colts fan, I can say this would be a good pick up by the Chargers.

Put it this way…. he will not piss off all of your restricted free agents.

Dude drafts a no-brainer in Luck and now he’s a genuis?
Rekindles memories of the Kevin Kolb annointing after throwing a few 80 yd Td’s to DeShawn Jackson that were 5 yd slants …. Astounding
