Getty ImagesThe Bengals’ postseason is over. But one of their players will be playing in one more game.
Tight end Jermaine Gresham has been added to the AFC Pro Bowl roster, the Bengals announced on Thursday. He replaces Steelers tight end Heath Miller, who suffered a serious knee injury late in the regular season.
Gresham joins defensive tackle Geno Atkins and receiver A.J. Green as members of the Bengals who’ll be headed to Honolulu.
“It’s great to hear Jermaine is joining our group,” coach Marvin Lewis said. “He’s been a very fine player ever since we drafted him, and he keeps getting better every week.”
Gresham, a first-round draft pick in 2010, also was a Pro Bowler in 2011.

Gresham. A pro bowler? If the pro bowl wasn’t a joke before…jeez
Did he drop the invitation when he got it?
Saaaawwweeeet! Congrats Jermaine, reppin the Bengals!.
Since there’s no emphasis on blocking at the Pro Bowl, this is perfect for him as he ranks last in the league at blocking among TEs.
Brandon Myers was probably more deserving this year.
In fact, since Myers led all AFC tight ends in receiving, he probably deserved to go to Hawaii regardless of Heath Miller being injured.
Appropriate picture of Gresham for this article…I believe that pass against the Eagles ended up going right through his hands.
ProBowl 2013..YAWN!
No doubt those two catches for seven yards and three drops against Houston clinched it for him…
Gronk and Hernandez were both drafted after him.
@mpoles
Miller had more yards and touchdowns and a better blocker
What a joke. He was terrible in the playoff game.
@football025
And he’s going to miss this years pro bowl because of the Bengals.
Obviously the TE position in the AFC looks to be thin these days if this guy is making the Pro Bowl.
Well, other than not being able to block and not being able to catch the ball, he’s a perfect TE.
This guy has pro bowl talent and CFL hands and his blocking is somewhere around XFL level he is not the sharpest tool in the shed (for anyone who has ever spoken to the guy this is obvious) and i dare say he probably had more false starts than any TE in the NFL ! And I am a Bengal Fan. #whatajoke
I wonder how many passes he’ll drop in Honolulu…
I’m a huge Bengals fan, and Jermaine Gresham definitely does have Pro Bowl talent, but he dropped a big, huge turd of a performance in that playoff game. He was terrible when we need him most. I guess that puts you in Honolulu, huh? Party down, Jermaine!
