oldbyrd … jeez you must be getting your info from the same place as EaglesBobby… Eagles last 1st rounder was Fletcher Cox …. Allen isnt from temple he’s from Florida …. Jarrett was from Temple …. McDougle was drafted almost a decade ago it had no effect on this season….

Please stop talking you 2 are why Eagles fans are looked at like ignorant buffoons . If you cant help but blurt out erroneous information at least change you screen names so no one knows your Eagles fan.

Eaglesbobby…. umm dont know where you get your facts from but Jim Johnson was a hold over when Andy Reid got to Philly. He was an Eagle before Reid was.

Neli get educated. The Eagles job is the most respected of all. Brit Reid, Quality Control? Is this a joke? Reid’s player and coaching choices speak for themselves, Our last 1st round choice is a perfect example of failure. Word is, he will be traded to a Fire Department. How about McDougle DE? Allen, the kid from Temple a safety. These are examples of why we went 4 and 12 not to mention the coaches.

OMG! are you really bragging about getting Andy Ried as your coach. You do realize he career winning percentage vs teams with winning record is under .400. you do realize his teams were favorite to win 4 out of 5 championships with 3 of them being at home and only won 1. he is also 2-14 life time vs AFC play off teams. And his draft picks over the years have been awful so can’t wait to see how he screws this up

Some of you guys know nothing. Except for Culley, Brasher, and Melvin, the rest of his staff is made up of young coaches–just like it was when he was hired in Philly. Most of his coaches in Philly, with the exception of Dowhower, Johnson, Brasher and Culley all were very young assistants at the lower level, players who just retired, or college coaches. Jim Johnson was a LBs coach with the Colts and wasn’t even Reid’s first choice–Marvin Lewis was. Childress was OC at Wisconsin; Rod Dowhower had been an OC with the Rams and the Cards; he’s trying to build a young staff of teachers as he did in Philly.

As for the Eagles’ HC search, I don’t blame them for taking their time–Lurie is not a guy who wants to throw away money–he wants to find the right guy who can coach for 10 years at least–not another Ray Rhodes type. You know, when you have to fire a coach, you have to pay his salary for his years remaining–unless he gets hired by someone else.

And for those that bash Roseman, I find that ineteresting, seeing as no one really knows anything about him.

Dont you haters look at all the thumbs down before you write, if not you should, lol. the guy won 130 games in 14 yrs, the eagles were the Chiefs when he took over. You were worse then the expansion Brownies, he made you relevant and now you make comments on here that make you sound like a fool. The Chiefs may not win it all but he is building a foundation for a franchise with rich history and great fans. Andy we are happy to have you and everything you bring to the franchise. Hey Eagles fans I think Romeo is available, oh wait they are going to hire B. Kelly the guy that burned multiple teams and got beat down in front of everyone mon night. Doug Peterson is an awful choice. He was a stpo gap QB at most and wasnt anything special as the QB Coach in Philly.

As a lifelong Eagles fan, I wish Andy all the best in KC. Although he’s no Belichick, doesn’t thrill media or fans with his public statements, and appears to have more than his share of clock-management issues, he is a very good coach, generally protects his players, and has always seemed like a decent guy. It’s a shame in my view that he didn’t bring a Lombardi trophy to Philly, but he & his teams always came up just short in the most critical moments (unlike Eli & Coughlin).

I hope he gets his Lombardi trophy eventually, but hope we get one first.

Interesting that some of the bigger name coordinators did not follow him this time. Pat Shurmer, Childress, Morningweg or even Monte Kifflin, who it was reported Reid was interested in. Could it be that Reids coattails are not as long as they once were and coaches do not believe in him like they used too? Currently looks like a weak staff to me.
