I understand chiefs gripe about Tony being traded but you have to realize Tony asked for it. He wanted to play for a contender. No offense your team was rebuilding. He knew he was running out of time and couldn’t wait thru another rebuilding process.

Given that he has no postseason wins and the Falcons despite five straight winning seasons haven’t won a playoff game, it’s hard to imagine Gonzalez riding off into the sunset when the light is being provided not by the setting sun but by the wreckage of yet another season of unfulfilled expectations.

Are you suggesting that the dirty birds are going to lose on Sunday? Who the hell do you think you are (sarc)! I do think they will ride off into the sunset and tony g will retire with a Super Bowl ring!

Thanks Pioli for trading Tony Gonzalez – one of many horrendous moves by the former GM.

I still wear my Chiefs number 88 jersey with pride. Whatever Tony does in the future I wish him the best!

He’s a Chief and should sign a one day contract with the Chiefs and then announce his retirement. He should also go in the Hall as a Chief.

I was fortunate enough to watch TG play growing up here in KC. In my opinion, if he wins the Super Bowl with Atlanta, as a Chiefs fan, I would not have a problem with him retiring as a Falcon. It doesn’t really matter to me which team he retires with. I’m just happy that I get to watch him play each week.

Scott Piolis horrible legacy was cemented the day he allow 88 to walk out of Arrowhead. I couldn’t care less about the Falcons but I hope they win it all for Tony G.

I could be wrong, but I think he was referring to the game when he said “this could be it”, not retirement. I think he’ll definitely retire after this season. But if they win this game, it’s technically not “it”, since, as you pointed out, they’ll host another game next week.
