They use public funds to build stadiums.
They charge 300 bucks for jerseys
They charge upwards of 1k for premium seats
Advertisers spend millions on 15 second commercials

Yet.

They are a Non profit organization. And want additional tax breaks and concessions. These guys are nothing but crooks, rivaled only by World Banks.

Santa Clara, not a big city, went way out on the limb to partially finance the new high-tech billion dollar plus stadium. While negotiations were underway, the NFL constantly hinted that a Super Bowl would be rewarded. Now this. Why does the NFL seem like AIG talking about suing the US who bailed them out. Pigs at the trough.

It seems rather obvious that the NFL would employ concessions for the privilege to host a Super Bowl. It does happen to be the biggest single game on the Western Hemisphere year after year.

The Santa Clara people ought to tell the league that they’ll give them concessions in exchange for putting the name of the city on programs/tickets/all promotional materials, unlike “North Texas,” “South Florida,” etc. I would assume the NFL would want to label the game as being held in “Northern California.”
