Miss Hue in Oakland.

Reggie McKenzie and/or Mark Davis set the franchise back bigtime the day they fired Hue.

Here's all you need to know about Hue: The Raiders were at or near the bottom of the league in offensive ranking for several years before Hue arrived as OC, including dead last 32nd in 2006 and a dreadful 31st in 2009. In Hue's two seasons, first as OC/playcaller in 2010 and as HC/playcaller in 2011 they ranked in the top-10 offensively in yardage both years. They remarkably went from 31st in ppg in 2009 to 6th in ppg in 2010. In Hue's first season, they more than doubled their points scored from the prior year from 197 to 410.

And this wasn't like a Peyton Manning to Denver scenario. In 2010 the Raiders were shuffling back and forth at QB because of Jason Campbell's early terrible play and Bruce Gradkowski's injuries. Hue got the Raiders to the 6th highest scoring offense with a Grads/Campbell timeshare. Remarkable.

The Raiders' offensive output was even better through 6 games in 2011. Then McFadden and Campbell both were out for the season and he had Carson Palmer, without McFadden, trying to learn the offense on the fly and carry the team. Still they finished top-10 in yardage and 16th in ppg.

In 2012, with McFadden healthy most of the year and Palmer able to fully acclimate to the offense and players around him -- and Palmer is a MUCH better QB than Jason Campbell -- the Raiders sunk to 26th in ppg and 18th in yardage.

On top of all that, Hue runs a dynamic offense with lots of creativity, as well as smashmouth running, razzle dazzle and great playcalling. And perhaps most importantly, he'll build his offense around his players' strengths and not try to force the players to do things they can't do because it's not part of his scheme.

Highly recommend Hue Jax.

For Carolina's sake, I hope Newton stays healthy, that last thing you guys need is for Hugh to have any input on replacement QB's. Additionally his penchant for Irish coffee to go along with his pedicure every morning might not sit well with the Panthers fanbase.

LOL! this guys going to bring the raiders offense into the panthers. Way to be at the bottom of the pack. Epic!!!!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

He made a squad at the end of the Al Davis era look competitive on offense. If that isn't making a silk purse out of a sow's ear I don't know what is.

Reaching for Palmer and calling it the trade of the century was pretty silly, but Hue won't have personnel control. And if he can't whip Newton into shape, no one can.

In 2011 the Raiders out gained the 2012 Panthers by 1061 yards, almost all of that in the running game. The biggest complaint about Chud was that he didn't make use of the high dollar backfield.

I'm shocked the Bills, Cowboys, Chiefs, Bears, and Eagles haven't shown more interest.

He made a squad at the end of the Al Davis era look competitive on offense. If that isn’t making a silk purse out of a sow’s ear I don’t know what is.

Reaching for Palmer and calling it the trade of the century was pretty silly, but Hue won’t have personnel control. And if he can’t whip Newton into shape, no one can.

In 2011 the Raiders out gained the 2012 Panthers by 1061 yards, almost all of that in the running game. The biggest complaint about Chud was that he didn’t make use of the high dollar backfield.

I’m shocked the Bills, Cowboys, Chiefs, Bears, and Eagles haven’t shown more interest.

jaimelh02 says: Jan 11, 2013 3:25 PM

Without Hue Jackson Oakland went from a top 10 offense to unable to score a touchdown. Then again it might of been the byproduct of Greg Nap.

No, it's called Carson Palmer. Plenty of yards between the 20's.

Just hire him!!!

He's good enough to be a head coach.

Plus, the Panthers should look to this as a positive because they have a future interim HC incase.
