Getty ImagesThe good news for the Ravens is that they have no injured players listed as less than probable to play on Saturday at Denver. The bad news is that guard Jah Reid has been placed on injured reserve with a toe injury.
Reid had started seven straight games to finish the regular season. He missed the wild-card win over the Colts, and he did not practice all week.
As to the 17 players listed as probable — including receiver Anquan Boldin (shoulder), linebacker Ray Lewis (triceps), safety Ed Reed (shoulder), defensive tackle Haloti Ngata (knee), and receiver Torrey Smith (back) — there’s technically a virtual certainty they’ll play.
If, of course, that term means what we think it means.

Ravens are very overrated this year and very old too!
Nothing is a “virtual certainity” when it comes from so-called “experts”.
Jah Reid plays with heart and is a good player, but is a backup. Now that Harbaugh can’t keep McKinney in the doghouse in the postseason, Ravens will be starting their best 5 offensive lineman for the second time in two weeks and all year. This lineup has a good shot at shutting down Denver’s passrush.
sewalters79: Suprised you have an account since you clearly no nothing of which you speak, who is old on the ravens besides Birk, Lewis and Reed?
awesome name!!
Parents were Bob fans I can only imagine.
This guy has been “injured” since the Ravens drafted him…. this has more to do with him being an awful offensive lineman.

Let’s see…..they’re in the final eight, the second round of the playoffs……….overrated………..right. Oh, and that “old” thing? Matt Burke, check. Ray Lewis, check. Ed Reed, check. They are “football old”. A few other bit players are a little long in the tooth, but you might want to check the roster before you claim the team to be “old”.
I guess that’s it, if Jah Reid is out the game is over. Don’t even bother traveling to Denver
As strange as it sounds, the Ravens are a better team with Jah Reid on IR.
Oher gets to move back to RT, Bryant McKinnie becomes a starter, and Osemele gets to move to the interior which the Ravens drafted him for in the first place.
jah was my friends roommate at CF. super nice guy. kinda scary seeing him smoke salvia during spring break once. a ball-tripping goliath is not something you want to try and contain
Per NFL.com at the start of the season
2012 NFL Rosters: Oldest Starters
Rank Team Off. Def.
1 ATL 2 5
2 SD 7 3
3 BAL 1 15
4 CHI 11 4
5 PIT 25 1
Peyton Manning and Tom Brady own the Ravens. There is zero chance the ravens go to the dance.
he should just quit and be a rapper. he already has the name for it
Hey this is great news..it really should cut down on the excuses come Saturday around 8 pm…what a relief I sleep now
overrated and in the final 8 you say? kinda doesnt make sense
“Jah Reid” is a very good name. Jah Reid, however, is not a very good football player.
Average age of teams:
Ravens Offense: 28.3 Years (4 starters 30+)
Broncos Offense: 27.9 (4 starters 30+)
Ravens Defense 28.4 (4 starters 30+)
Broncos Defense: 28.1 (5 starters 30+)
Broncos actually play with one more 30+ starter than Ravens. “Very old?” Know your facts man!
“Next Man Down!” What a pathetic bunch of has-beens. No chance they lose by less than 3 TD’s against the Broncos tomorrow. A sorry end for sorry organization. Their classless fans deserve no less.
Correction – Ravens starting D only 3 over 30 (Lewis, Reed, and Suggs)
@scoobie,
It’ll make sense to you when you see that the Ravens don’t belong on the same field as the Broncos. Worst final 8 team in recent memory.
Doesn’t matter. He’s only gonna miss one playoff game. Ravens bout to get smoked.

- Even if we lose, how are we a “sorry” bunch? 1 SB our first year in the playoffs and now 5 playoffs straight with atleast 1 win..name another “sorry” team that has done that. Since you’re on a Ravens story, apparently the only “sorry” team is yours.
Steeler fans are so funny. If the ravens are “so bad” what does that say about your team? Theres no such thing as a good 8-8 team. Huff and puff all you want, the fact remains, Ravens are better than the Steelers. One team is in the playoffs, while the other is stuck in freefall, fading into irrelevancy
On the injury front, temperatures in the ‘teens” at game time – should make for brittle surgically repaired necks!!!
They better hope no one gets a free runner at Manning. He’s already missing a dome. Zero playoff wins under 40…with a good neck! Even our terrible Joe has playoff wins under 40 degrees.

and u have to ask why u are a sorry bunch of fans???
Our team was bad this year, which is why I can easily draw the conclusion that the Ravens are also bad. Seeing how we beat you the last time we played, and because you’ve dropped 5 of your last 7. Talk about freefalling.
Why does the reality of Mannings neck and the likelihood for it to be exposed in the cold make anyone a sorry fan?
Manning chose to play with this condition. It’s reality my friend. Just stating the obvious. Sorry you’re worried.
Yet Ravens are still in the playoffs fighting for a championship and you along with your team of criminals are watching on the couch.
Fact remains, I know for a fact you wish it was your team playing Saturday, but they’re not. Cheers!
Ravens are a joke as are their fans. Their Super Bowl is winning the division. Why so worried about vanquished AFCN opponents when they are going to be sitting home with the rest of that sad division in a few days? Once Lewis is gone, that team will fold like the house of cards that it is. Ray Rice is a stud though.

Ravens are just like pittsburgh in so many ways. Ravens unfortunely will be done probably this week. I want what you are smoking if you actually think pittsubrgh is done and freefalling. Pittsburgh is and always will be in contention almost every year. look at the facts. I personallly know some great raven fans stop making them look bad with your ignorant posts why dont you just forget about pittsburgh and their fans.
They can’t stop thinking about Pittsburgh because winning the afcn is their championship. They are far and away the weakest team in he playoffs. Got there because of their weak division. Next year ravens will finish last in division with Ray gone.
