Coach Cowher suggested that the NFL should expand the roster so players do not feel pressured to play hurt.
I have thought for 2 years now that a 46 man gameday roster does not make sense for a 16 game season. The team roster and gameday roster should be at 63 players with a 10 player practice squad. Players should be inactive for a week and replaced with a practice squad player if they are injured with a concussion for example.
Teams need more players so injuries do not decimate a teams chance of being good each year.
