Pats take the lead, thanks to Shane Vereen

The Pats are on the board.

A 65-yard drive ended with a one-yard touchdown run from running back Shane Vereen.  The running back has been bumped up the depth chart both via the injury to Danny Woodhead and, in a roundabout way, the injury to Rob Gronkowski.

Lined up wide right like Gronkowski often does, Vereen caught a 25-yard pass, moving the ball from the Houston 40 to the Texans 15.

The Patriots lead after one full quarter, 7-3.

You left out the part where the Texans were all standing around not paying attention and Brady just rushed them to the line leading to the easiest looking TD you’ll see.

No snark this time? Thought you’d add that Vereen gives Pats an insurmountable lead.
