The Falcons answered one Seattle touchdown drive with an impressive drive of their own, but they couldn’t do it a second time and we’ve got a close game in Atlanta.
Russell Wilson flicked a short touchdown pass to Zach Miller with 9:13 left in the fourth quarter to pull within 27-21 after falling behind 27-7 in the third quarter. It’s Wilson’s second touchdown pass and he’s also run for a score to bring the Seahawks new life after getting shut out in the first half. Wilson’s hit 10 straight passes for 185 yards in addition to those touchdowns.
If the Seahawks do complete the comeback, Matt Ryan’s throw with just over 11 minutes to play will be one that lives in infamy in Atlanta. Ryan overthrew a well-covered Roddy White and Seahawks safety Earl Thomas picked the ball off to halt the momentum of a Falcons offense that has been extremely effective running the ball on Sunday afternoon.
They’ll need to get back on track offensively quick or the Seahawks could find themselves as the owners of a second straight comeback playoff win on the road.
