That one was painful to watch. Congrats to 49ers fans. Your team was clearly the best one on the field Saturday night. I hope the Packers can regroup in the offseason. I’d really hate to see them squander the prime of Rodgers’ career with this lousy defense.

How about a little less slamming Capers and the Packer D and a little more credit to Kapearnick . Looking at film and going against something different for the first time are two different things. Should the defense really have been prepared for the most rushing yards ever by a quarterback?

Kaepernick deserves credit for what he was able to do but maybe part of the reason for giving up the most rushing yards to a QB is BECAUSE they weren’t prepared

So what are you going to do about it, Ted? If you want to win a super bowl, your going to have to go through these guys to get there. I don’t know if 1 off-season is enough to address all the needs the packers have if they want a shot at beating some of these teams that are rising up in the NFC. Ted had better have a good draft this year!

Capers SHOULD be fired!! The Packers have never been a force on defense for the past few years. They do get turn-overs, but in-game adjustments are practically non-existent. Capers simply doesn’t know how. Too stupid, in my opinion, and has been granted forgiveness over the years due to the high powered offense that covers up his shortcomings. With that said, I do believe many other teams would have had a lot of trouble containing Kaepernick. So I’m not discrediting Kaepernick and the 49ers. They’re an awesome team. But to watch the Packers look absolutely clueless with no apparent attempt of half-time adjustments should, without a doubt, be the end of the road for Dom Capers.

9ers looked solid last night but we have ATL next week in ATL. It’s going to be a tough game. I want the 9ers to win the SB, not get there and choke.

First and last, congrats to the 49ers. They sure looked like the best thing going last night. I’m still a bit dazed and may be wrong, but I think most of Kapernick’s runs came on the side where Walden and later Moses played. Don’t know if it would have been different if Packers had had Perry there with a season of experience or not, but clearly the product GB has right now on both sides of the ball is just good enough to get to the playoffs but nothing more than that. Need OLine help and help on the front 7 of the defense. It would be almost criminal if the Packers look back on 25 years or more of Favre and Rodgers at QB with only 2 SB wins to show for it. Wouldn’t be surprised if Capers is let go. In any case the team will certainly have a different look next year. No season is really a failure when the Pack beats the Bears and Vikings twice each, but still… it’ll be a long off-season.

Packers defense has been marginal all year, though better than last year. Tramon Williams played a terrible game, gave up way too many big down plays. Kapernick was unbelievable and on the top of his game. The Packers were not.

Packer fan here. Congrats to the 9er fans. This is a tough squad. Would love to be a 9er fan right now. Promising QB, tough, physical team. I thought that after game one, and they seem to have found the extra dimension in Kaepernick. Throughout the game the people I was watching with kept saying they need to make Kaep throw, but I’m not so sure he wouldn’t have proven that aspect of his game is up to the challenge as well. Once he becomes a good “passer”, rather than just a thrower, he’ll be elite. I think that’s right on the horizon.

As far as my Packers, I don’t think you can deny the talent on the roster. However, they’re set up be physical and/or talented to beat about 90% of the teams in the NFL. Unfortunately, the other 10% of the NFL include teams like the 9ers and Giants. Until they can go toe-to-toe physically with these teams, they’ll be a perennial divisional round playoff team.

Congrats to the 49ers. F*** the Seahawks.

Niners vs. “elite QBs” this.. Beat Rodgers twice, Brady, Brees. The one loss coming to Eli. They have put together a solid resume of wins and are on their way. This just the beginning. This team fears no one. I’m just glad there is no scenario that we play in SEA again this year.

That said, the 49ers played an excellent game last night and deserved the win. They took the game away in the second half and never looked back. Packers D had their butts kicked. Congrats, and if the Seahawks come to town, destryoy them so their loudmouth fans and players can SHUT UP!

It was a great game, but I still say Alex Smith deserves to start in the NFCCG. He will take better care of the ball than Kaepernick. You saw what happened with that pick-six. Against the Packers it didn’t make a difference. Against Seattle or Atlanta, Kaepernick’s mistakes will be magnified. Smith put in the hard work and is overall the better quarterback. Name one “running” QB who ever won a SB. Only Steve Young because he had a great passer rating as well. Kap’s passer rating is worse than Smith’s. And that’s what counts when it comes to winning SBs vs. divisional round games.

Mark my words: Keep Kaepernick, kiss the Lombardi goodbye. Gold star to him for his performance yesterday, but he is not a SB-caliber QB.

Speaking as a packers fan this is a horrible statement. Was there a couple holds on the perimeter on some of 7s runs yep but for the most part it was called both ways.

For those who have pointed out to me that Randall Cunningham did indeed win a playoff game in Philly and a few more later in his career with the Vikings… I thank you!

I am just a frustrated Eagles fan who is still bitter that the Cunningham years in Philly were wasted. What could have been.

San Fransisco enjoy the ride! It will be fun watching Kaepernick play the next 10 yrs. Keep him healthy!
