Texans pull closer, onside kick fails

Well, the Texans showed a little fight.  But, so far, not enough.

A pair of touchdowns and a two-point conversion cut New England’s lead from 25 to 10.  But a Texans onside kick with more than five minutes left was recovered by the Patriots.

New England leads, 38-28.

The Texans scored via a touchdown pass from Matt Schaub to DeVier Posey that initially was ruled incomplete, and a one-yard touchdown throw from Schaub to Arian Foster.  Andre Johnson caught the two-point try.  The Pats punted in between.

The Patriots are now in kill-the-clock mode, thanks to Rob Ninkovich’s ability to secure the onside kick.  A week from now, they’ll be trying to beat the Ravens for the second straight year in the AFC title game.
