The Raiders interviewed Bobby April on Tuesday or Wednesday. He would be a great hire. Don’t pay attention to the Philly nonsense. With what he was dealt, he is lucky he did not have a nervous breakdown.

NFL truly mystifies at times.

Toub has frequently produced top 10 SP teams with 6th-7th rounders and FA leftovers.

Toub has most likely produced the first NFL player in history to go to the HOF soley on sp teams credentials (Hester), and helped shaped some other outstanding players, not least of which is Graham on the Ravens and Manning for the Texans.

Yet, guys like Chud get the H.C. nod, while Toub goes to coaching death at K.C.

Bears fans are some of the most knowledgeable and difficult to please, so when they give a near unanimous vote of confidence towards a player or coach, other teams should listen.

After Reid gets fired in three years, Toub will take over as HC. Good luck to you Dave. You may have already been a head coach had Lovie and Angelo not ruined Hester.

This is weird.

Toub had a year left on his deal. I understand the potential awkwardness of working for a guy that beat you out for a job, but I think it is shortsighted of Emery to let Toub walk for a lateral move.

Toub was already among the highest paid ST coaches. Why wouldn’t you let the new head coach evaluate Toub, and if he decides to keep him you throw Toub a few more bucks. He’s too talented to let walk away over some hard feelings about not getting a job.

Oh I love this … he stuck with Bobby stinkin’ April here in Philly for like three years who was the WORST special teams coach in the NFL and then when he moves to the Chiefs all of a sudden he gets a new guy.

I hate this fat walrus. Good luck KC … enjoy the next 13 years of poor clock management, mystifying play calling, a non-existent running game, and horrible game day coaching.

Much like when the Eagles cut McNabb loose, the rest of the NFL will soon figure out what Philly has known for years … Reid is OVERRATED!!!

Good coach but he was completely pantsed by Green Bay when he went for the FG block and they turned a 4th and goal from the 27 into a TD. Completely changed the game and perhaps the season.

Toubs leaving Chicago just chaps my hide. I wouldn’t mind it at all if Tice leaves or gets fired, but not Toubs. Wasn’t expecting that move, but maybe I should’ve. If Marinelli is out, Emery/McCaskey’s better have several Aces up their sleeves to get this team to the playoffs next year. I’m getn a little nervous…I’m hoping one Ace is Trestman.

As the Eagles continue to flounder around, interviewing B-teamers and bland flavors-of-the-day, their most successful coach hires the man who should have been their next coach. Toub is awesome. How I wish the Skins could have replaced Danny Smith with the best teams coach in the league. I wish both well in the AFC West. Heaven help the mediocrity that lands in the Philly sports landscape after this botched search. At least three months to prepare, still no plan. Way to go Lurie! Keep up the good work – you have a 52-year tradition of failure to protect. Hail!

What the hell are the Raiders doing in their search for the next ST coordinator?

Toub probably wouldn’t have gone to Oakland, but it would be nice if they at least tried to persuade him after being let go by the Bears.

Now he’s with a divisional rival and I don’t hear a peep from Reggie…guess he is channeling his inner Al Davis.

Taub was awesome in Chicago…with him you never ever worried about the ST not producing. ST never gave up the big play and consistently produced the big play. They were always so well coached and disciplined…top 10 every year and a majority of the years top 5.
