Apparently Gus did need to discuss much, heads to Jags

Gus Bradley AP

The Philadelphia media, punchy from a protracted coaching search, was joking yesterday about tracking the Gus bus, in reference to Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley’s inbound flight.

Well, the bus is rolling south today, as Bradley has more interviews planned. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Bradley is heading to Jacksonville to interview with the Jaguars.

His trip to see the Eagles was a second interview, and some thought it would result in a deal. But unless that deal is “95 percent” finished, the door is still open.

The Jags have reportedly talked to defensive coordinator Mel Tucker, Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden and Rams OC Brian Schottenheimer already, but are widely believed to be waiting to sit with 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman, a college teammate of new GM David Caldwell.

Eagles messed up. Don’t let this guy go to Jacksonville.

The Jets can’t find a GM who wants to work with Ryan. The Jaguar’s can’t find a coach who wants to work with Caldwell.

I am beginning to suspect that the next coach of the Eagles is on a team still playing football. Maybe they wanted some of these other guys but the best way to save face now is to hire someone you had to wait for, then say this is the guy we targeted all along.

Would be a smart move by the Jags to secure his services!

Who ever thought last year at this time that Jacksonville would be the hottest job in the NFL? Times are a changing!

so impressed by the eagles brass that he decided to go to jacksonville for an interview. 9 hrs in a room with smolinski, roseman, and lurie will do that to you. this is not a good sign philly.

Howie Roseman needs to resign today. Since yesterday is out of the question.

If the Eagles loose this guy, we are back to the Bramen days. That means Roseman has got to hit the road, he’s gonna be trouble like none before. I hope Im wrong but I smell trouble ahead which includes Laurie.

Bradley or Roman will both be great candidates for the next coach in Jacksonville, but taking unwarranted shots at Caldwell is ignorant.

The Eagles should conduct their interviews out of state. Then the interviewees wouldn’t have to see the city they would have to live in.

from my point of view Bradley was my choice and with no knowledge of what went on, or what will happen next. if the choice is Bradleys and he chooses Jacksonville, I’m thrilled that he doesn’t become the Eagle coach because his decision making is skewed.

Anyone else in Philly want to go boycott outside the Novacare complex (or Luries home) and chant “Fire Howie”?

There is no excuse why we do not have a coach right now… Unless they are in love with the coaches in ATL or McDaniels (please no to all of this) than it is ALL Roseman… Someone stop giving this guy a paycheck…he is a thief!

I think the Seahawks can do better with different people at the helm. The offense and defensive co-ordinators were not the worst but were not the best either. The talent on this team, they should have went further. I am not crying but I believe this to be true.
