What Arians did this year was a nice story, but the guy is a coordinator. He’ll be fired in 3 years if hired.

WE WANT RAY. We don’t want another former Steeler OC that insists on calling his own plays. NO.

They’re GOING to hire him though. I’m convinced. Nothing has changed in their thinking. They promoted Keim, the in-house guy that has been there for 15 years. They will hire Arians, who will fire Ray. They won’t draft a QB, but they won’t get the best O-lineman either. They’ll take the second best after the best gets taken a few picks before them, just like they did with Levi Brown. They’ll sign another scrap heap QB like they did with Esiason, Kreig, McMahon, Schroeder, King, Anderson, Beuerlein, Blake, and Warner, hoping to duplicate Warner’s success. They’ll win 4-6 games like they always do. I’m starting to think going to the Super Bowl was the worst thing that could have happened. It convinced the Bidwell’s that their philosophy was correct, when it isn’t. They just got lucky with Warner.

Let me correct you. Warner was not traded to the Cards as a backup. He was signed as a free agent to be the starter, under Denny Green, and he was.

Best of luck to Arians as he is a good guy and a good coach, but if losing him means the Colts get Moore as the OC then I am all for it.

New GM who is known as a good talent evaluator, young Bidwill spends money (despite the family reputation otherwise)—if ownership has patience and recognizes this is a rebuild in a tough division it could be worth a try. The key is upgrading the talent level which won’t happen overnight.

With the numbers jobs limited to 32, if offered it would be a mistake not to take the job especially as its the last one available. A four year deal would set him up for life no matter how much success he has there.

Besides 1 year the cards have NEVER done anything in their 70+ years of existence. If i was a coordinator I’d never apply to be their HC it’s a well known death trap.

I feel badly for you, Bruce.

The only time the Cardinals have ever been successful is when Kurt Warner was traded to them as a back-up. Warner made the Cardinals, not the other way around. What a glorious history.

So Cards hired Wizenhunt, Russ Grimm, Ray Horton, Deahea Townsend, interviewed Todd Haley and intend to hire Bruce Arians.

They also employed Joey Porter, Clark Haggans, Bryant McFadden, William Gay, Sean Morey, Nick Eason and Crezdon Butler.

Does anyone else see a pattern here?

As a Colts fan I have a bad feeling Bruce will be making a huge mistake if he takes this job.
