As a Bama fan who could barely speak our former HC Mike Shula's name for years, I've finally reached the point where I can wish him well. Amazing are the healing powers of three titles in four years, courtesy of his successor. Having said that, though ... Mike's a great QB coach, but don't know that I'd promote him above that level. He has a short attention span when it comes to other coaching details.

I agree with most of comment above. What's sad is that Panther's fans know football more than Richardson and his running partner. It is pretty clear the Panthers won't make play-off and I truly believe that Rivera will be gone so they didn't get it right before searching for GM. Looking for OC is simply a waste of time to start with and that's a year wasted on Panthers' players. So sad!

raiders fan in SC here so I follow the Panthers also. Hue is an outstanding offensive coach. He was great with the Raiders but got power hungry and had to be let go by new GM Reggie McKenzie. He got more out of D-mac than anyone else has. Raiders were top 10 in rushing both his years there.

Hire Hue Jackson and let's move on. He is clearly the best fit. Shula has proven to be a disappointment and the thought of Shurmur should make anyone laugh. He runs a west coast offense and we aren't equipped for that nor will we allow him to run it so what's the point? Bring in someone who is a failure and let him fail again? What are we waiting for?
