All of the Raider fans on here make me chuckle. They act as though Knapp will be responsible for the playcalling or something. He’s NOT the OC, he’s just a position coach! Basically, he got a demotion.

Now moving on to their team who just gave a PROMOTION to the Jaguars quarterback coach…who HAS to be good because shoot, look at all of the success Jags QBs have had!

Keep talkin Raider fans, that’s all you’re good at, oh wait you’re not good at that either.

How do some guys keep getting work in the NFL after failure after failure. When he came to Seattle his play calling was some of the worst I have ever watched (I remember thinking Raider fans were right) I know if he ever game back to a team I cheered for I would stop watching.

Manning may of course be his own position coach and even OC, but he still needs someone with whom to exchange ideas, and the team needs someone to work with his backups.

It’s a worrisome habit, and we think he will be much more effective if he isn’t bobbing up and down and moving back and forth behind the line. Also we hope it will make him more decisive so he isn’t changing the plays all the time at the last minute. We worked with Terrelle Pryor on that, and I hope to have the same success with Peyton. Peyton does not teach because he can’t teach. He can only “do”. He has not taught any of his backups. The coach is for the other qb.

No coach can fix a dead arm and an inflated salary…the jig is up and Manning knows it too…Elway just can’t admit he is compounding his mistake by guaranteeing the next 2 years for $40 million…9-7 at best next year and one and out in the playoffs…and another 2 years delaying the next QB

Gregg Knapp is a prime example why we need the Rooney Rule in all coordinator positions. How does he keep getting jobs with that resume? I guess being successful in your position does not matter in the NFL.

Knapp sucks as an OC but he’s apparently good as a QB coach. However, that has to be the easiest gig in the NFL, what the hell is Knapp going to be able to teach or tell Manning? Just let Manning do his thing, then in a year or two convince some other dumb team that he can be an OC again.

So three years is his longest stint with a NFL franchise. Amazing Knapp is still in the league. Even more amazing is that the head coach that hired him to be his Offensive Coordinator this past season was able to keep his job.
