This is true henry53. What is also true is that #4 seeds are 6-1 in conference championship games since 1990, including the #4 seeded 2000 Ravens. Both sides can go back and forth with previous seasons’ stats, it will have zero effect on who wins the game tomorrow.

All I’m saying is that to arbitrarily dismiss this Ravens team is folly. They are a quality organization. And if their special teams shows up last week, they send Peyton Manning and a good Broncos team playing at home packing easily. I have no idea who will win. I just think the black and purple will fare far better than what the line reflects.

Yes, they are improved. But they still gave up close to 900 more passing yards than the Ravens did while allowing only 13 fewer points all season. This is the most adversity I have ever watched the Ravens defense weather in a season. They also did all of this largely without their shutdown corner Webb (who is the best DB on both of these teams) and Cary Williams getting beaten like a drum most of the year. In fact , Williams and Reed are the only two Raven defenders who even started all 16 games this year. It

It should be another close classic between these two great teams. All respect in the world to Belichick and his crew but all of the fans who think Talib is the biggest change in this matchup are going to be disappointed tomorrow.

Of course Balt can win. These teams always play each other tough, since 07. The only time that one team was vastly superior to the other was that playoff game in 09 when your vastly superior team won. I don’t think there’s any way this game is a repeat performance or a blowout by either team. They’re just too evenly matched.

Glad to see someone else pointing out the insanity of requiring competitors to provide intelligence to their opponents. Once upon a time, teams made great efforts to keep this information under wraps so opposing coaches couldn’t game plan around injured players. But that made it more difficult for bookmakers to set their odds. It’s pretty hypocritical for the NFL to have such stiff rules against players and owners being connected to gaming … while the league puts facilitating oddsmakers ahead of facilitating competition.
