From what I’ve read witnesses said that the Falcons fan was verbally berating the Niner fan then got physical with him resulting in the Niner fan pulling out knife and stabbing him in self-defense.

Now the fan should not have run away, but you might want to chill with insults seeing that…

A. It probably was self-defense
B. The game was played in Georgia and who knows where the fan was from.

Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

Seemingly meaningless third quarter time out by Atlanta was huge at the end of the game. When will the coaches realize that a delay of game five yard penalty is so much better than wasting a time out!!!!!

I said it during a game thread that I was hosting at the time that they called it, and it indeed came to fruition in that scenario when they needed it most.

Yeah, I saw it, and that was pretty hilarious considering how he and Shoddy White were whining about Dick Sherman last week for doing the same thing (and actually backing it up with his play).

On top of all that, the catch that got them there clearly hit the ground on replay so if anyone should be upset about getting hosed by refs it’s Niners.

Let me remind you, the 49ers are the only UNDEFEATED team in multiple Superbowl appearances.

Great game by ATL, but there can be only 1 winner. I wish Gonzo nothing but the best in his second career which I hope has him on TV somewhere and I look forward to his speech in 5 years as he is inducted into Canton. As a 9er fan who was in the same spot last year I wish you Falcon fans well. Rest up. Gear up and get ready. I think we’ve seen the resurgence of the NFC and if you can replace your TE then I see you in the playoffs next year. Good luck.

To me, the game was lost by Ryan on the fumbled snap. SF scored a TD on the subsequent possession and never relinquished the lead or the momentum. Keep your eye on the freakin’ ball, Matty.

Atlanta fans, don’t hang your heads you have an excellent squad and played a tremendous game and season.
