Jason Garrett’s brother John leaving for Bucs job

Jason Witten AP

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett should consider himself warned.

According to Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com, John Garrett has taken the wide receivers coach job with the Buccaneers, a lateral move from his old tight ends coaching position on his brother’s staff.

Several league sources viewed John Garrett’s looking for other work (he also applied at the University of Delaware, but didn’t get that one) as a sacrificial move, to take some heat off his brother the head coach.

But the Cowboys could still be looking to hire an offensive coordinator, and a recent interview with Houston Nutt could be a sign more changes are coming to the Cowboys staff.

Houston Nutt? As a Cowboy fan, I will say it’s pretty hard being a fan right now, but if they hire Houston Nutt we will be at an all-time low…

However, Jason’s other two siblings, both his grandparents, and all of his cousins will continue in their in their current positions with the Cowboys.

That’s not the nepotism cowboy fans should be worried about.

The only change I wanna see is Al Davis, oops! I mean Jerry Jones stepping down and letting Stephen Jones take over!!!

I have ZERO confidence in Jerry Jones and his crew of yes “Jerry” men to win anything significant. It is sooooo hard to root for this team, been a Dallas fan for 25 plus years. As my punishment for supporting this plastic surgery JERRY, I am going to root for the Browns.

Jerry, just fire Garrett already. We know you want Gruden to be the coach.

Jerry Jones made the mistake of signing Garrett as a head coach before he even showed he had the makings of a head coach. Now he’s trying to make him quit by showing his brother the door?

Man up Jerry, fire the man, eat that contract and fire that GM while you are at it.

If Garrett continues to fight Jones on the OC hiring, he will be looking for another job soon enough. Please Jason, we Redskins’ fans would like to see you and Tony Romo on the Cowboys’ team, hire someone!

Reason the NFL coaching fraternity is such a sickly pale shade of white is that it is clogged with the dregs of nepotism.

Yeah, Tight End is where all the problems where. Run him off.

Does anyone feel bad for Bucs fans here? Did we just hire the lesser of two Garretts? Is that possible?

Why doesn’t Jerrah just fire Garrett and get it over with. All Jerrah is doing is leaving Garrett hang out to dry and by his actions is showing everyone truly how much of a control freak he is.

Has there ever been any concrete evidence that Jason Garrett has any actual qualifications as a player, position coach, offensive coordinator, or titular head coach?

Has there ever been any evidence that John Garrett has any actual qualifications as a position coach?

Has there ever been any evidence that Jerry Jones has any actual qualifications as a general manager?

Has there ever been any evidence that Stephen Jones has any qualifications as…well, anything?
I think we all know the answers to the above questions.
