Russell wilson took pretty much the same team as tjax was on and took them to layoffs at 11-5 and tjax was 7-9. I know the o line was more gelled this year, but jackson makes terrible decisions under pressure. Jets would be back to square 1 with jackson under center

All this hype over a backup QB? Sheesh. We all know that Sanchez isn’t going anywhere this year. We also know that he’s being paid too much money for the team to bring in any other high profile QB. Mcelroy isn’t a good enough second string and Tebow is a media mess so they’re getting rid of Tebow and they just need a third qb to fill the depth chart. That’s all this is. Nobody thinks that Moore, Jackson, garrard or Campbell is gonna be the qb of the future. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. The jets will stink in 2013. As a jets fan I’ve resigned myself to that. I’m going for a good pick in 2014

Tebow is a better Qb than all these potential names… Jeremy’s Lin’s story showed us that the best way to de-fuse a fad player is to let it play and show how average it is. If tebow is so bad, put him in there as starter to see if he fails, or conversely creates more magical victories like he did when they allowed him to actually play QB in 2011!

This would be a great pick-up for the Jets. Given significant playing time, Tarvaris has gotten better each year. He’ll be 30 come the start of the season, so that’s not exactly over the hill and he has good experience, especially his year in Seattle. Vikings fans and Rick Spielman were bufoons to bring about the departure of Tarvaris and now they have a shaky QB in Ponder that they’re pinning their hopes on.

We will have Sanchez next season, no doubt, but I wouldn’t mind picking up Matt Moore. He wouldn’t be expensive for a one or two year contract and he’s been pretty good when coming off the bench for the Dollphins. Let him and Sanchez compete for 2013.

This will work as long as the Jets have a big lead in the 4th quarter. There is a reason why Jackson was inactive all season for the Bills.

Every NFL coach and GM’s success depends on a quality QB,
if they make this move they wont be there long.

Matt Moore would be the perfect QB for the Jets. He’s sane and been through screw jobs with both the Panthers and the Dolphins, so he’s tough as hardened nails. He’s also a team player. He’d be a much better pick if they can get him away from the Fins than would be T. Jackson. Gimme a break on that one.

NEWSFLASH: They are playing Sanchez next season, deal with it. There is no point in throwing good money after bad at that position, and the general lack of talent at the other skills position on offense would be a problem for any quarterback in the league. They would do well to get a RB who avoids contact, and PICK UP A DAMN BLITZ, or better yet, a few receivers who could get separation and make a catch for the new west coast offense. Idzik seems to have a habit of picking talent out of other people’s trash (see: Marshawn Lynch for a 4th, v. Tim Tebow for a 4th), so I am gonna give him the benefit of the doubt through the draft and free agency before I complain that he isn’t pissing away a ton of money and cap space the team doesn’t have for a backup QB who won’t start anyway.

Seahawks fan here. Look this guy is better than sanchez. He lead us to a 7-9 record two years ago and he missed to game or we pronably woulda been 8-8, 9-7. Dont expect 4th quarter comebacks with him tho lol. Obviously hes not gonna be your guy for the next 2 years youll probably just draft a rook.

Jets owner caused this mess. By keep Rex Ryan, as their head coach. And putting the cuffs on the new GM not allowing him to fire Rex Ryan. So the new GM figuring out how to screw the owner over the cuffing on Rex. SO he is keeping Sanchez for one more season of failure. So this way after the 2013 is over the GM can fire Rex and Sanchez all at once. And the GM hires the coach he wants. That is going to give him a super bowl win hopefully. Tebow, is in Florida for the 2013 season. Jets can be a winning team if Rex and Sanchez are not there.
