Pierce, Ellerbe active for Ravens

Ravens linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (ankle/back) is active for tonight’s AFC Championship Game, after he was limited in Friday’s practice and ruled questionable. Likewise, rookie running back Bernard Pierce is active after he missed two days of practice with a knee injury.

As with the early game, both the Ravens and Patriots entered the game largely healthy.

The Ravens deactivated cornerback Asa Jackson, offensive lineman Ramon Harewood, defensive linemen DeAngelo Tyson and Bryan Hall, safety Omar Brown, linebacker Adrian Hamilton and wide receiver Deonte Thompson.

For the Patriots, the inactives are defensive backs Malcolm Williams and Derrick Martin, wide receiver Kamar Aiken, offensive linemen Nick McDonald and Markus Zusevics, and defensive linemen Marcus Forston and Jake Bequette.

Pierce and Ellerbe are going to be huge for the Ravens today. Now for the obsessive Steeler fans who have nothing but a snuggie, a prayer, and an 8-8 season to reflect on. Cheers! Go Ravens!
