APWell, the Falcons won’t have to worry about blowing a 20-point lead this week.
But they suddenly have to worry about blowing a 17-point lead, thanks to an 11-play, 80-yard drive from the 49ers that was punctuated by a 15-yard dash to the end zone by rookie running back LaMichael James.
The 49ers impressively shrugged off a pair of three-and-out drives, working their way down the field methodically, without regard to the hole into which they quickly fell.
And now the challenge for the Falcons will be to keep doing what they did in the first quarter plus one play, during which three drives resulted in two touchdowns and a field goal.

Niners got this one
They impressivly shrugged off 2 three and outs. ? Really?
Hope that 49er team bus don’t stop quick, you might break your neck. Seeing as you nose is where it is.
Kaep is a good runner but he does not protect the ball. He carries it away from his body in a throwing style grip. Any hit will knock it loose if he does not fix that.
Why was the clock restarted after VD’s catch at 2:22 when he clearly goes out of bounds? Clock error. Surprised if ATL doesn’t protest since they are more likely to benefit from that extra time.
Another Atlanta choke job on the way.
Wheels starting to come off the Falcons like expected. Once again get a nice lead, sit on it, and eventually lose it. They have nobody who can cover Vernon Davis, and the 49ers calling some beautiful plays mixing up the run and pass perfectly.
Falcons need to keep the foot on the gas pedal!
3 point game. Niners got this!!
Good drive before the half by the 49ers. I must say, their defense sure isnt like last years. Given up a lot of point this year. After today, even if they pull it out, should they face a team like the Pats in the Super Bowl, it could be a route by the Pats.
That being said, Im still pulling for the Ravens to beat the Pats.
10 point game, Niners got nothing
