What do the 49ers and Keapernick have anything to do with this story? I know they are in the same division but be happy you are in the super bowl, nobody cares about the pro bowl anyway, even though it is still somehow a measuring stick in the hall of fame voting. Hopefully people stop taking that into consideration for pro bowls after 2004.

I'm so sorry Kaepernick isn't in the pro bowl. He will have plenty in his future if he's not a one hit wonder this year. The guy didn't play half the season, stop complaining and go wait outside the stadium at the superbowl to stab another fan. Your fanbase and the raiders make the rest of the nfls fans feel less safe going to a game. I'm glad a rookie QB is making you bitter about your 2nd year qb not making the pro bowl.

I know that many view the "Fail Mary" as a negative thing, but in my viewpoint, it was positive. People complained so much about the replacement refs, there needed to be an extremely bad call that would cause the real refs to come back. It was that bad call. When people speculate what would've happened if that bad call never happened, people fantasize that somehow life would've been better. Would it have? If anything the replacement refs would've stayed longer and people would've complained about more blown calls. More games would've been affected, but instead, it was over within the first 3 weeks of the season.

49ers fans have to recognize that the Seahawks ended up helping the 49ers in the end - which I am sure the Seahawks didn't want to do. You see, without that "Fail Mary", then the Green Bay Packers would've already had the 1st seed. They wouldn't have needed to win against the Minnesota Vikings. All the same teams would've made the play-offs, the only difference was the seeding. This is what was ultimately affected by the "Fail Mary" call.

Perhaps the 49ers would've done the same thing, they would've dominated every game they played before playing the Green Bay Packers -- or maybe they would've been blown out because they wouldn't have the extra week to have Justin Smith heal up enough to play. That bye week was crucial. You saw how the Patriots dominated in the second half the moment that Smith was taken out. You saw how the Seahawks blew out the 49ers. I give props to the Seahawks for what they did especially Okung, but I also recognize that it would've been, most likely, a much closer game had Justin Smith been able to play.

I am a big fan of Wilson and a fan of Kaepernick. I don't think they have to be mutually exclusive.

Would 49er fans stop saying Wilson isn't all that, and would Seahawks fans stop saying the same about Kaep?? Believe it or not, it's OKAY for you to think both are tremendous QBs. I'm not sure how 49er fans can come on here and say anything about Wilson after he shredded them only a few weeks ago. And Kaep has played phenomenally in the playoffs. How about we just concede that the division has two star QBs who will likely create a great rivalry with each other??

Kudos to Wilson he's been acting like a class act from rookie camp. The CK7 to RW3. First off they run a similar offenses and are smart with regard to taking hit..

Ck7throws harder but not as precise as Wilson. But the major difference is Wilson plays the position cerebrally while Kap relies solely on athletic talent.. If anyone will slump its Kap. Instincts are good but preparation and practice is how you become and maintain an elite status at QB.

Wilson can last because of that. His completion percentage is higher from the pocket and so were his yards.

Nothing wrong with Kap. NO HATE IN ME. Just not going to say he won 1 more game for his team than last year while Wilson improved the entire dynamic of the Hawks and even with the Niners in the SB their will still be a lot of skepticism regarding if they will even win the NFCW next year.

Wilson plays smart in passing, Kap doesn't read coverage as well but can spot balls bc his cannon. Neither are bad just don't get this Kap Os amazing and Wilson is a gimic business. Sounds like some scared Niners fans to me, ur in the SB and still taking shots at Seattle.. Don't see you on AZ Blogs or RAMS Blogs... Hmmm smells like fear..

With that being said R. Wilson is a good QB and he was just a rookie. He starts games off slow and finishes big in the end. He did what he had to in the playoff game vs. Atl. , the Seahawks defense did not come through and finish the game. The Seahawks need to trade Matt Flynn to the Jets and pick up a 1st round pick and get a DE and a top WR in the draft and they will be fine.

Russell Wilson is a class act and he will be leading the Seahawks in the playoffs for years to come. The division is going to be tough next year but I have no doubt if we play the way we did to close the season we will take the NFC West. I don't think any team will want to come to Century Link in the playoffs and expect bigger things from Russell in his second year. Go Hawks!

A lot of blind hate in these comments. And none of it actually to do with Wilson's achievements this year.

People kicking the Seahawks fan base aren't exactly showering themselves in glory either.

Russell Wilson is a joke. Just another undersized QB that will be figured out and completely destroyed next year. Little mobile quarterbacks rarely get the job done. Now Colin Kaepernick on the other hand is a monster. The ideal QB is 6’3-6’6 230-250lbs. A pocker passer…. not a midget that can scramble like an undersized running back.

Smart dude right here! Put him in a front office!

So other teams hate the seahawks because they have the best fans in the world? makes sense you know your doing something right when you got hater keep hating

Yes, most Seattle fans are great, but being a great fan doesn't mean cheering an injury to an opposing team's players. Hence my original comment.

Quite crediting the Seahawks D for all their success. Wilson this year led THREE 4th Q comebacks that the D went on to blow, resulting in losses (Detroit, Miami, ATL). If this "elite D" could stop a last minute drive, the Seahawks go 13-3, and are very possibly heading to NO in a couple weeks (I'd have liked their chances vs SF in a home playoff game).
