The Eagles aren’t commenting on any of their coaching hires at the moment.
But Dave Fipp is hanging around the Senior Bowl wearing Eagles gear, and Dolphins coach Joe Philbin told CSNPhilly.com Fipp was leaving his staff to go work for the Eagles.
So it sure looks like Fipp is working for the Eagles now.
Fipp was the Dolphins’ assistant special teams coach, and has also worked for the 49ers.
He’s also the latest in a revolving door of special teams coaches for the Eagles, as he’ll be the fifth in the last seven seasons. Since John Harbaugh spent a decade in the post (1998-2007, and then one year coaching defensive backs), the Eagles have plowed through Rory Segrest, Ted Daisher and Bobby April.

That dude has the crazy eyes.
He looks frightened by the news
How do you take that photo and look at it and say, “ok yeah that looks good, lets go with that”
I feel like he’s staring directly into my soul.
From the picture it looks like no one is more surprised by the news than Dave Fipp.
He defiantly has SPECIAL EYES. He sees EVERYTHING.
Is looking like a crazy person prerequisite for being a special teams coach?
Championship!
win one for the Fipper…
The Eagles used to have a coaching staff loaded with talent, Reid’s inability to restock with even average coaches after his initial staff was picked clean may be the biggest reason he’s coaching the Chiefs now.
The Eagles special teams has been a joke since Harbaugh left April was especially bad, hopefully Fipp can turn things around.
Well Chip Kelly did mention one of the characteristics he looks for in an assistant coach is that there is something “off” about them. I guess when the news comes out that this guy collects rare birds in his basement we cant be surprised.
Fipp is a good guy. He gets players to work. He’ll be alright.
Best staff photo ever
best argument you’ll ever see for abstaining from those little energy bottles…..
Whoever picks these photos deserves a raise/promotion
Don’t worry about what he looks like, just be glad April is gone. He is in the December of his career.
