The likeliness of the Browns drafting another QB (at least high enough to get consideration for the starting job) is almost slim to none. Weeden has shown he has the skillset for Turners offense and Limbardi was always a proponent of McCoy being a victim of an idiot coaching staff and front office who shot themselves in the foot by drafting Weeden too high.

If anything there will be an actual QB competition between the two. The thing that makes me laugh is the though of how Cleveland will feel when they eventually announce “QB coach Derek Anderson”.

McCoy is not “productive” when he does start (given the wide receivers and coaching staff he had – no wonder !) Colt is also injury prone it seems. BW deserves the chance to fight it out for the starting role in 2013. I don’t see the Browns drafting a QB in the 1st round (they need to go with the best corner or linebacker available)

When a team is in the top 5 in dropped passes, studying QB films should be second to finding guys who can catch. 2 years in a row for that honor.

To whomever said Little couldn’t catch a cold, watch from game 5 or 6 on, he was damn good. He started playing better once it was apparent Gordon would be the #1 WR, like the pressure and stress was off him. I am not saying he was perfect, but he caught a high percentage of the passes thrown his way, fought for yards, blocked great and had nice escape moves to gain a little extra. All that being said, the Browns still need more from their WRs.

Dude was a waste of a 1st round pick. A 29 year old rookie qb? By the time he’s mentally progressing he will be physically regressing. He has no pocket presence and is as mobile as a statue.

It would be one thing if Weeden was still young, but the dude is almost 30. Older than Alex Smith, who’s been around forever. I seriously doubt anyone within the new administration sees him as the QB of the future. They’re going to draft or bring in their own guy, not hand the job to one of the lingering mistakes of the previous administration.

Weeden’s not the worst QB the Browns have trotted out as their starter, but the Football Outsiders’ advanced metrics show him as the 35th best QB in the league, which clearly isn’t good enough to lead a team to glory, and considering his age, there isn’t much upside. He’s got the job by default at the moment but it’s clear that the Browns won’t become playoff contenders under his watch. And so the search for a really good Browns QB enters its 15th year.

Weeden should have never been taken as high as he was, they still need to draft or land a QB.

The Weeden pick was sabotage on the part of H&H to use the pick instead of trading down. They knew they were gone after the season – might as well screw the organization a lil bit more as a last hurrah.

This should come as no surprise. New regime, new offense, and I’m sure they want to hand pick their QB. Same thing happened to Colt. Is it fair? No. However, 9 wins in 2 years for Browns fans isn’t fair either. Just find someone who can throw TD’s.

With Chud saying this and Banner saying he would “evaluate” him..it doesn’t look promising for Weeden. With that being said they need to surround him with play makers. Little couldn’t catch a cold and Cribbs and Massequoi are not receivers. Gordon is the only real threat they have at that position
