Despite being benched in favor of Evan Dietrich-Smith in December, Green Bay Packers center Jeff Saturday was named to the NFC Pro Bowl roster.
After the Pro Bowl is over, Saturday will make a decision on whether he wants to come back for another season.
According to Andy Fenelon of NFL.com, Saturday said he will sit down with his family and decide if he wants to return for a 15th season.
“As soon as this game is over, we’ll make that final call,” Saturday said.
Saturday has had a stellar career after going undrafted out of North Carolina in 1998. He was signed by the Indianapolis Colts in 1999 and became the Colts starting center for the next decade. He’s a six-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time first team All-Pro.
Due to losing his starting job and the size of his remaining contract, it’s unlikely his future would be with the Packers if he decides to play another season.
