He was benched because he couldn’t move people anymore in the run game. The guy who took his place, Evan Dietrich- Smith, made a dramatic improvement in the line play. EDS is an undrafted free agent who was on the practice squad not all that long ago. Jeff, it’s time. You are a warrior, but like fellow team mate Donald Driver, it’s time to hang it up and enjoy your family and the honors that come with being an all-time great.

Doesn’t matter what his decision is, the other 31 teams will make it for him. He’s not coming back because he has nowhere to go. He’s so washed up even the Vikings won’t sign him and considering the Vikings love affair for ex-Packers, that’s saying a lot.

Saturday making the pro bowl is a testament of just how many clueless Packer fans there are in this world. It also poves that the Pro Bowl voting should not be done by fans.

He’s still smart and can still do a decent job in pass protection, but he’s completely ineffective as a run-blocker.

He’s had a great career, but now that he’s reached the point where he’s getting benched in favor of younger guys, it’s probably time to call it quits.

It’s really comical that a guy can be a healthy scratch for the back 1/4-1/2 of the season and be named to the Pro-Bowl.

The Oline should be picked by the coaches. If there weren’t contractual tie ins/escalators, it’d be a moot point, but most guys go based off of 2 and 3 seasons’ ago work, and get bonuses for it.
