I remember Reid saying he thought Kafka was the answer before he got Vick and Foles. Maybe the Pats can use him to spike slide Pollard next AFC championship game.

Would love to see the Pats flip 1st round picks since the Brown’s don’t own a two and throw in another draft pick for Mallet. The Pats aren’t letting him go for less than a two.

Unless you are at the practices everyday,your statement makes no sense. Mallet in every mention by Brady is how much he has grown and has looked decent in preseason. Furthermore, Mike Lombardi has a crush on him and said he was the best QB from the draft two years ago. Lombardi’s son is also an assistant on the Patriots staff.I can see the Patriots trading Mallet to Cleveland for some good value.

Kafka played very well in one game and poorly in another as a rookie. Got hurt in preseason and Trent Edwards beat him for the last spot. He’s smart and reads defenses well but doesn’t have a great arm.

From all the talk about their being no QB on the Chiefs roster that they like, i cant understad why Reid didnt jump on him since he knows more about him then anyone else, it can only mean two things, either Reid doesnt think highly of him, or Bilichick beat Reid to the punch, which being an Eagles fan, i seen happen a few times before between those two.

These types of moves are what helps the Patriots be in the top five, year-after-year, in projections. It only takes one of these guys to step-in and make an impact for the word “paydirt” to be used.

Benard could definately be one of those players and do not forget that Jake Ballard will be coming of the PUP soon.

Has this guy got any game, Philly fans? I vaguely remember him.
They need to trade Mallett for his own good. He must be going nuts watching stiffs like Locker & Gabbard get playing time while he can’t get a shot due to circumstances. Lots of other young QB’s getting their opportunity; he deserves one too. Lord knows he’s got the size and the arm many GM’s are looking for.

I was against his release last year. He led us in sacks 3 years ago but fell out of favor with the new regime. SMH. And don’t delete this, you have to be able to allow a Shawshank quote every now and again.
