Getty ImagesThere’s still plenty of time until the Super Bowl, which means there’s plenty of time for injured players to get a little healthier before gameday.
It sounds like that’s a good thing for Ravens linebacker Dannell Ellerbe. Ellerbe missed practice for the third straight day because of a sprained right ankle an a minor back injury. Ellerbe said on Friday that he’d say he’s a “10″ on a 1-10 scale of how banged up he is right now, but also said that he would have found a way to get on the field if the Super Bowl was being played this weekend.
“Any time off is good for you when you’re hurting. I’m gonna need a couple more days. I’m glad we got two weeks and we’re not playing this Sunday,” Ellerbe said. “If I had to, I could fight through it this Sunday. It’s the Super Bowl.”
Tight end Dennis Pitta returned to practice after missing Friday’s session with a thigh injury. Wide receiver David Reed has an injured hamstring and was the only other member of the Ravens to sit out Saturday’s practice.

This spells the end of the Rats’ silly idea of winning a championship. Oh, wait, that was when they drafted Floppo.

David Reed shouldn’t even be on the 53. Hands of stone and always hurt. Ellerbe, on the other hand, is very valuable to the Ravens’ chances, so I hope he gets a chance to get healed up.
As long as they rest, thats the important thing, i could see his butt exploding lik your t-sizz. Dang that boy got butt!!
thay say you have game, bring it, see how far it takes you to not practice, practice, practice!!
Ellerbe has been a straight up beast this year, another UDFA ILB diamond in the rough from Ozzie. Him and Kevin Minter will be a good tandem next year.
