APSaints tight end Jimmy Graham revealed late in the season that he had been struggling with a wrist injury all year. Now Graham is recovering from wrist surgery.
The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Graham had the surgery earlier this month. The injury is the reason he didn’t go to the Pro Bowl after Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez pulled out: Graham was the first alternate, but Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph is at the Pro Bowl instead.
The wrist injury may explain why Graham’s production declined: He went from 99 catches for 1,310 yards and 11 touchdowns in his breakout 2011 season to 85 catches for 982 yards and nine touchdowns in 2012. According to Stats, Inc., Graham led the league with 13 dropped passes, while no one else in the NFL had more than 10.

Ha! I like how you make it sound like he had a horrible year with 85 catches and almost 1,000 yards.

That dropped pass stat gets put into proper perspective when you consider the high amount of targets he had. His drop percentage is nearly average.
Tighten up my ginger. Contract year coming up. Each dropped pass is 500,000.
I hope his wrist injury isn’t his…well you know the “important” wrist.
That is still some pretty good work for a tight end.
He is still going to be one of the greatest on and off field. Go Jimmy!!!!

Can you haters get your story straight and get on the same page?
I have a feeling Saints are gonna come out mad next season ala that Pats after spygate. not saying a 18-1 season but the Falcons are gonna have some serious comp to hold onto the NFCS crown
How many TEs in the NFL wish they could have had this record? WithDrew Brees as his QB, he will et a ton of more opportunities.
Fear him this coming season. He WILL make up for it.
Best TE in the game. He’s the reason Tony G is slinking away from the game-tired of being shown up.
The NFL Pro Bowl, where the 3rd and 4th best players at their positions get to showcase their talents!
Gonzales isn’t doing any slinking nor should he. I’m a Falcons hater but gotta love the class and skill of TG. Jimmy is the future but Tony will beat him to the HOF.
