Spiller was without a doubt underused. When Jackson went down and Spiller was the number 1, they just had Fitz keep throwing horrible pass after horrible pass. Chan Gailey really blew it with Spiller. I think he could put up a 2000 yard season if they let him get carries. I hope Marrone is smart enough to see what hes got in Spiller and gives him the damn ball

The two-back system can work if the running backs are in avid passing offenses and they are okay with yards from scrimmage stats that can reach up to 1000 yards rather than have rushing stats that go up to 1500.

Look at the two (or multiple) back systems in

New England
New Orleans
Detroit
Atlanta

The only way to achieve that is to have more good or helpful wide receivers and an accurate QB (ex-Syracuse and Doug Marrone product QB Ryan Nassib???).

Plus, 3 out of these 4 teams are famous for doing well with the no-huddle offense. For example, New England ran no-huddle and executed plays in faster time to create more time for more snaps to make more plays.

New England ran over 80 offensive plays per game because of the frequent use of the no-huddle and condensing of play call terminology at the line of scrimmage.

Buffalo should revisit their old no-huddle days from the Marv Levy era and that way they can fit both backs in their game plans.

I can see the Bills with both backs on the field. Spiller taking in most of the outside runs and Jackson up the gut. Spiller lining up wide to put the DB's in check and Jackson using the screen play which he runs very well. Jackson is solid in QB protection, Spiller is getting much better. Both backs have a lot to offer to the team. Gailey just didn't have the brains to win with the weapon. Hopefully Wheatley does a better job.

With Jackson's inability to hold onto the ball and his new injury bug, I don't see him on this team come June 1. Guy can't stay healthy and puts the ball on the carpet too much.

The Pro Formation should be Buffalo's every down formation. Everyone loves CJ's big play ability but Fred Jackson absolutely belongs on the field as much as possible, he does everything very well.

Even if you give it to Spiller 2 to every 1 time FJ gets it, it would open things up for both backs. It would make Fitzpatrick's job a helluva lot easier too; when they ran play-action he'd have two RBs picking up blitzing defenders before going deep or dumping to a wide open TE.

Buffalo should finish next year in second place in their division, possibly first if New England loses Welker and Ridley keeps fumbling. Time will tell...

There's no reason they shouldn't get at least 10 wins next season with the amount of talent on their roster and the amount of youth in their division. The Pats look better than they are because of Tom Brady and their genius coaching staff/play calling.

I also predict the Jets to get 3-13 wins and the Dolphins to go 7-9.
