Don’t wait for Flacco to liven up Super Bowl week

The Ravens are arriving in New Orleans later this afternoon, with enough characters to liven up the town for a week.

None of those characters are quarterback Joe Flacco.

In fact, the Ravens quarterback can’t even seem to entertain his own family.

Flacco’s father Steve told Scott Cacciola of the New York Times that his son was not the kind who will make headlines this week.

Joe is dull,” Steve Flacco said. “As dull as he is portrayed in the media, he’s that dull. He is dull.”

Gee, thanks Dad.

While Super Bowl lore is full of quarterback antics, we’re apparently getting none of those from the Ravens this week. Which is fine for him, since he’s on pace for a different kind of history.

Maybe Colin Kaepernick will moon a helicopter or something.
