APThe Jacksonville Jaguars hiring or Gus Bradley as their head coach didn’t just cost the Seattle Seahawks their defensive coordinator, it cost them their defensive line coach as well as Todd Wash elected to follow Bradley to Jacksonville.
Now the Seahawks have managed to fill that hole in their coaching staff as well.
According to Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com, the Seahawks will hire New Orleans Saints assistant defensive line coach Travis Jones to coach their defensive line.
Jones worked alongside new Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn for two seasons with the Miami Dolphins from 2005 to 2006. He was suspended by the league for 30 days in 2010 after pleading guilty to charges for his role in a real estate scam.

Don’t worry after 3 years you can have Bradley back.
Sounds like an upstanding citizen.
Mildly surprised Quinn didn’t bring Bryant Young with him from Florida but Quinn knows his coaches. I assume this means Jones is a better line coach then Young. I do like the fact that Jones is a bit shady and willing to things against the rules lol.
Seahawks D Line is Screwed. Hiring any Coach from the Saints related to Defense isn’t a good thing.
As a Saints fan, nice to see you leave.
If he was Steve Spagnuolo’s guy then it’s no big loss.
Didn’t the Saints have one of the worst defenses of all time this year? As a Seahawks fan I’m worried. Come back Gus.
Poaching a coach from an historically wretched defense doesn’t seem like a great idea, but I’m giving Quinn the benefit of the doubt for now.
Pete the Cheat won’t leave any stone unturned. Now he has inside info on a successful bounty program.
I wouldn’t hire anyone from last years saints defense!
What next? First Sean cans Spags (thats a good thing) then Kromer gets pulled, now Jones. Surely won’t be much left of a staff to help Saints go forward next season. Besides re-building it’s defense they have to re-build the coaching staff too.
Now the Saints need to hire the Cardinals assistant QB coach to match the irony.
Please mister Crabtree, don’t try to ignite an “i hate the saints” thread.
I’m just about done with those.
If you want to talk football leave out that last line of incendiary remarks. The season is over and everyone else won.
Let it go.
I honestly can’t think of a player with talent left on Saints defense line. Compare that to one of the better line’s in NFL. Quinn coached up our line before and I have no doubt with the proven guys (Mebane, Clemons, Bryant) that is here and young talent (Irvin, McDonald or even Scruggs) that is developing these coaches will only improve.
Most of the Seahawks transactions the last few years seem like sh… when they first make em. Then they turn to sugar.
Be careful with your criticism ravensfan19. You don’t exactly have an offense to be proud of yourself.
Wait a minute! This guy was the Saints’ assistant line coach?!? But, but, but that would imply the Saints had a defensive line coach. How can that be?
Guys hating on this coach, can you remind us all who plays D line for the saints? Oh yeah, a bunch of hacks.
