To the Ray Lewis fanboys:

Don't tell me that Ray has done more for mankind then I ever will. You don't know me. You haven't the right to make that statement.

How many gifts to humanity will make up for two lives.

Ray was charged with obstruction. He may not have stabbed those two but he knows who did. He should have never been allowed back into the league.

He's no hero.

I’m not sure what happened exactly (few people really do) but the “justice system” for Athletes and Celebrities is definitely NOT the same for ordinary citizens. Some degree of related criticism is a small baggage to carry when the legal system is skewed in your favor.

It's not about celebrity, it's about money. The smarter and more experienced the lawyer, the more they bill and smart experienced lawyers will find more ways to keep someone out of jail than a public defender. If you can't afford a good lawyer, you are screwed. It's just the way it is.

Furthermore, $ gets you out of drug issues, and DUIs, domestic things. It doesn't absolve you of murder.

It's time to talk about something else. Let perhaps match ups for the game. Flacco vs the secondary. The Ravens LBs vs Gore, and LaMichael.

The person who sent RLIII that tweet is a clown.

It wasn't just a question. It was an attempt to bait the kid -- and try to make him and his father look bad.

The tweeter was obviously a Ray Lewis hater.

RLIII made a mistake by giving that clown a response.

What's sad is that people still think this guy killed someone (innocent until proven guilty or the other way around?). What's even worse is that people think it is appropriate to taunt his son about it.

One thing this message board shows is that when it comes to sports, people lose all common sense and put their blinders on. It's too bad we can't all have more respect for one another instead of just hating or loving someone solely because they are a Raven or Steeler and looking at the man as a human being. No one is perfect and Ray has made his share of mistakes. But the case went to Court, charges were dropped against him because there was no evidence that he had anything to do with the murder, and the co-defendants were acquitted by a jury. Yet here we sit 13 years later still talking about. I can't wait until the HOF induction in 5 years so we can rehash this again.

As great as Ray Lewis's career has been, that murder remains unsolved, and Lewis has never really answered any questions about his role in all of that. It has, and will continue, to haunt him until answers are found, despite the efforts of some media outlets to whitewash it.

As for his son, it's a shame his children are being exposed to this. However, anyone with a twitter or facebook account is going to need to learn to have thick skin. There are far too many people in America who have too much time on their hands, and nothing better to do than taunt, belittle and ridicule others, with no risk of recourse.

Wow. Let it go already. Ray Lewis has done more for humanity as a whole than 99% of you haters on this board will ever do. Yet, some folks think they're qualified to try a case from 12 years ago on speculation rather than fact. Fact is, some hotshot prosecutor wanted to get his name in lights for trying Ray Lewis for murder. The dudes who DID kill those two GANGSTERS, didn't even do jail time because they acted in self defense (dude got cracked over the head with a champagne bottle). In fact, the only person related to this case that even did jail time was the MAYOR. But, go ahead, PFT blog commentors, your blind hatred for one of the greatest football players of all time shines through.

I felt bad for the kid till I read his reply. Sounds like he likes that his dad was involved in a double murder. He may not have stabbed either of the people but he was definetly involved. Blood in his limo from the victims and the white suit he had on that night was never found.

Oj wasn't convicted of murder either...

"I am so glad the ratbirds made it to the super bowl. Now the world can see what an idiot fanbase they have and the poor character of the Ratbird players and their coach. The Steelers already know this. Now the world will know. Murderers, domestic abusers, gays… This team has it all!"

No personal offense meant here, but I find it interesting that a Steelers fan, whose account is actually named after a player who was twice investigated for rape, is commenting on the character of players and fans of another team. I am not even a Ravens fan but ... come on, man! Really?

Whatever people's feelings are about Ray Lewis and whatever happened in 2000, we can all agree about one thing: his son had nothing to do with it. The kid was probably watching Barney cartoons at the time.

It's pretty immature and useless to taunt someone for something that their parents were accused of. Would you like having whatever things your parents or other ancestors might have done constantly thrown in your face as if you had something to do with it?

Unfortunately he has to deal with it and the fact its out in the open, again, because his dad is playing in the Super Bowl and the media needs storylines. On Monday the game is over.
